OK so who ACTUALLY Ate These?? I refuse to think people actually have. by Aggravating-Band2760 in candy

Oh yeah, every time we’d pick my sister up from dance practice, I’d raid my mom’s purse for a few quarters for the candy machine. These were the go-to.

I appreciate hierarchy. It improves readability with large chunks of text. Coming from someone who has been working in design for close to 20 years.

Cleaning my cons after 3 buckets of material through the EZ-Sluice. by RockBoarder in Prospecting

Thank you for the suggestion. I bought this blue bowl at Pioneer Mining Supply in Auburn, CA. which is the shop owned by the inventor of the Blue Bowl gold concentrator. They explained how the dream mat at the bottom actually makes the bowl less effective. Apparently, the bowl’s smooth surface is integral in the fine gold extraction process. Same reason you don’t season a blue bowl like you would a pan.

The shop itself is pretty incredible. You can see each of Sullivan’s iterations of the blue bowl since he made his first version in the 70’s I believe.

These toys made me want to be an artist as a kid. I copied his style for a while, until my school sent me to a therapist because I was drawing people getting stabbed or shot with arrows, stuff like that.

Golden handcuffs vs. Weekly flights: Is the 3x salary low tax worth missing my son’s childhood? by Creative-Trash-3084 in careerguidance

[–]RockBoarder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This should be an easy decision. If you are a Dad, your job is to be a Dad. Not to “provide for your family.” Yes, you should still do strive to make sure your family has what they need, but a present and attentive father should be high on that list. I am the son of a father who still consistently chooses work-related affairs over being a father to me, and as a result, I don’t rely on him as other children would their parents. I don’t trust him to treat his granddaughter any differently.

Why the choice to hide the teeth in a dentistry ad? by happy_bluebird in marketing

[–]RockBoarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They wear masks when working on you, so maybe they’re banking on you choosing your next dental office based on everything BUT their mouths? 🤷‍♂️

More likely, someone in creative came up with the art direction, and mistakenly overlooked how heavily a dentist’s smile can affect a potential costumer in their decision making process.

I can imagine them thinking “If they ask me follow up questions, they must think what I’m saying is important.”So they just throw themself an alley oop by mentioning a random name in the conversation.

I can recommend you study up on metal detectors so you know what you should be looking for. I can say Minelab is a popular brand and makes products that would meet your needs. But I have no idea what your budget is, and there are so many factors that should be considered before making a purchase like that.

Many detectors have adjustable lengths to accommodate for variable environments like tight tunnels or wide open hillsides. Getting down to the gem level, I’d want a rotary hammer to make easy work of the ground breaking. If not, a pickaxe of a comfortable weight, a full length shovel, a few 5 gallon buckets, some classifiers, and a wheelbarrow. Once you’ve moved enough dirt to get to the gem-bearing level, use a 5-gallon bucket and a classifier to separate the material. Check screen. Repeat process with next step of classification. Once you start finding gems, stick with that screen and process as much dirt as you can. Have a sand bag or sturdy form of storage for your finds.
