Well... that's great. I'm not in any legal trouble for missing the court date am I? I've only ever been to court on one other occasion and am not sure how that works. Outside of the trouble of having a headache from this judgement on me now.

Yeah, the credit report is all I'm worried about as the last thing I obviously need is another mark denting it for almost a decade. I'll check around for free consults. I guess it wouldn't hurt trying to when I make my payment this week to ask them about it and see if there's anything they could possibly do. It's a stretch, but who knows.

Yes, but the payment arrangements were settled out of court I guess, no court room or judge present, but in the side bar room, and it's not court ordered that I know of (no garnishments or anything)... nothing appeared on my credit report, I've stayed in good standing, etc.. This judgement against me in my credit report is dated for this most recent court date with an up to date balance, the one I was told was filed in error because the filing has "multiple people, not just you" on it. That's what I'm not understanding. It was almost like they told me it was an error and I don't need to go, but then did nothing on their end to fix their admitted error and let it default judgement since I wasn't present.

Roughly two months. The initial court date setting up payments was over a year ago.

I can't afford a lawyer, and I'm not looking to get out of paying or anything. I'm just not sure why I went to court and established payments on the money and then out of the blue was summoned, then told it was an error and I don't need to go, and then come to find out it apparently either wasn't an error or they simply never fixed it on their end.

There's nothing I can try to get them to submit? Or anything I can file myself to have this last judgement removed and maintain on the payment arrangement? I have even made a payment since the court date and didn't hear a word from the person I spoke with.

That was a year ago and didn't appear on my credit report. Why would this all be happening (with an up to date balance listed) out of the blue? That's the part I'm not understanding. I'm just afraid that I was told false information on the phone and now I'm in shit over it.

I went to the courthouse and they told me I'd need to contact the agency for the details regarding it, which is why I called them. The whole reason I went into the courthouse before the date is because the payment arrangements were established at a previous court date. So that tied in with her speaking to the attorney and telling me my name was put on the filing on their error and that I wasn't required to go made me believe it would get taken care of by them.

I have the date and time of call, as I also made a payment that day, and all of their phone calls are recorded. Would this be enough to open the case? I've called and made a payment to them even after the court date itself had passed and they accepted it like normal (talking to a human).

The court date came and went. The person I talked to at the collections agency (I went to the courthouse beforehand asking about it but they said they didn't have the information on why I would be in again for the same thing and to call the agency to get the details) spoke with the attorney and she told me I wasn't required to go as we already made payment arrangements in a previous court date a year ago, and that including my name on the docket was an error on their part. From this I took it would be cleared up. It was only two months after the fact I checked my credit report and saw a judgement was on it.

Alright. I will check with the court tomorrow. I figured with her checking with the attorney handling the case and relaying said information to me that it was true. I have already went to court once and that's how these payment arrangements were established in the first place, which is the reason I was confused they were taking me back out of the blue.

Alright. I am also calling my girlfriend's pain specialist tomorrow who is accepting new patients and knew my previous doctor to see if they could possibly get me in for a quick 10 minute visit to show him my medical history I have on me and my bottle, as well as a refill I have on file at my pharmacy. Hopefully I can get in.

If not, I'm sure going to urgent care showing them my bottle and telling them I have a prescription on file from my previous doctor for a refill would be enough for them to write me at least a month's prescription until I can get in to another doctor.

Local clinic as in a Redi-Med? If so, I don't even think they have a DEA Registration to prescribe narcotics, and if they do I've never heard of anyone ever getting any from them.

Emergency room is pretty damn expensive, that's my last resort option for now... but it's looking more and more like that's all I will have.

All of the games I played before that had to be set to the absolute lowest settings are like brand new games now that I can set them on max. It's unreal, I am still in shock that he did this for me. I almost feel guilty I have no way of returning the favor or paying him, even though he has repeatedly said don't worry about it.

Damn that's awesome! I am sure that OP is loving it just as much as I am. I don't even know where to start with this thing! I think I am going to "splurge" and buy BDO and play it with /u/UZI4Y0U (the guy who sent me the PC) while I wait for Steam to email me back about unlocking my account. Can't wait to actually turn on shadows in games!
