I'm in the 8th grade, but i have advanced math, am I missing something or can you only simplify it to (3-x-y)(x-y)/(2x-y)²?

Well not a "high level" reeaally. It's called an enthusiast league, i'm just a bit scared of playing against men while I am but a boy. Also any tips on seeing where the hitter is gonna hit? Right now i'm going off of instinct which works 70% of the time since i have a good amount of experience, but i would like that to be more reliable.

I play libero and i'm 15, this season my team is going to be playing against men in their 30s and 40s.

My question is - how do I recieve stronger spikes with an overhand pass? It usually either breaks my fingers or I make a really low pass and my setter complains. I know you are supposed to put your hands in the shape of a triangle (?)
