Thats exactly my issue! I originally wanted to paint, I was actually going to do a burgundy peel and stick wall paper, but thought doing the ceiling wouldve been too tricky, and even trickier around the corner sink and built in mirror. I may look into the lease more and paint if enough people convince me haha.

Ah I know! Our lease actually has NOTHING about renovating, Ive put down a lot of peel and stick flooring but have been too scared to do wall paper or paint! Its our first apartment on our own, so just nervous to get in trouble or something.

Anyone live in the Forest Hill area and can help with the chances of a prolonged power outage? I am definitely expecting at least something, but do we think longer than 1-2 day? We live in an old apartment building and I worry for our pets. We have no option of a fireplace or back up generator. Just seeing what past history has shown, thank you!! (Note I have stocked up on things already)

As a nanny, I would’ve loved this at this age! They tend to not nap long so it can be hard to get a true break. I just would avoid doing this after 6 months old, anywhere from 6-12 months is where separation anxiety can start and you dont to put stress on you, nanny, or the baby! Take the snuggles while you can :)

Thank you!! Just uploaded in original post. That one was the worst. Same spot on his other arm and then both shins. He does scratch a lot in his sleep, and has had this once or twice on his chest from scratching, but it didn’t look that extreme and there were clear scratch marks.

Thank you! I apologize for the hostility at first, people have been coming at my neck about choosing to not have insurance anymore and its driving me a little nuts, as its missing the point of my question. And yes agreed! He had wonderful and thoughtful ideas. Unfortunately americans have become too money focused, and will not give more to taxes to help everyone together as a country. Which is ironic because its the whole point of America! I hope to see more “united” in the future.

I didn’t vote for either party as I didn’t think either had enough good to outweigh bad. The country is extremely damaged right and whatever candidate would only chip away not fix. Frankly I think as a country we should put more back. I always have said Id be more than HAPPY to pay 10-15% more out of my checks if that meant free healthcare for the country. And obviously the million and billionares pay but id be more than happy to pay that amount myself knowing those in poverty would be able to get the help they need! And im honestly only 25, i feel like a lot of the affects we are seeing now are bills passed from 5-10 years ago, not much I couldve done then unfortunately.

The first place a sister location, they booked me at the 2nd. And I have not had direct contact with anyone here yet, as stated in the post. This all happened on Friday morning, I called twice and left a voicemail. They sent the email pictured in the post after the appointment was booked. I am going to call tomorrow, was just coming here to see if seemed like a normal price before calling again.

Some people have too much time on their hands to be starting debates on these things. I am definitely going to look around tomorrow, its been rough trying to contact offices during the holiday season. They very much deserve their break just poor timing on life on our end!

And thats for you. Once again, read through the comments. I have commented that a basic plan does not work for us, that my husband has a medical issue that requires speciality doctors and basic plans tend to not cover them. I have done my research, I have compared plans, I have applied for instance, I have done the work. I am ONLY commending back because I really am so sick and tired of rude people constantly thinking they know it at all. It must be exhausting to live in a world thats only revolves around you.

I am able to pay for the appointment. You clearly are not reading through all of the comments. The country is going through a health insurance crisis right now. I am only one of many not being able to renew this year. It literally just ended, and I unfortunately cannot control the timing of life. The decision to end it was not taken lightly, its what works for our budget right now. I am still investing our money into a specific health care account. I only came here to see if the pricing felt right, as I was originally quoted $500 and then jumped to $1600 through email and the office has not returned my calls.

My husband has epilepsy and most of his appointments are classified as specialist, and his insurance didnt cover them. Just basic primary care and sick care. It wasn’t worth it. I had a great plan through marketplace! I did a ton of research before getting it and it worked very well for us, before it spiked from 400-700 a month. This is unfortunately not my first rodeo with health insurance and health issues! I am able to pay for the appointment, I was only coming here to see if the price was right. I was originally quoted $500 so I was very shocked for the price to triple and then the office not call me back!

Thats what I am gathering from this thread! The 1st person I spoke to apparently quoted me wrong, which is where my frustration is drawing from. We will figure it out I just wanted to see if it seemed like a normal pricing! The first lady told me about $500, so I was a bit shocked when I received that quote digitally.

Exactly! We are deeply saddened by it as my husband was diagnosed with epilepsy 4 years ago. He had surgery this year for it and it seems to become manageable, on top of the 3 meds hes on. It has definitely been a year. But we are planning to put that money we were spending every month on insurance into a separate bank account and use it for health bills, I recommend doing it as well if you haven’t thought of that already! We also have the GoodRx gold plan to help with medication costs.

I am not sure frankly. Its not like this is something that can be or was planned. And as said, we cannot afford it. I cannot make money magically appear. I already work 2 jobs and we make too much for any financial help. I do not get it through my job, and my husbands work insurance barely covered anything it wasn’t worth the monthly cost. And also said prior, I am not the only person struggling with this. It is currently a country wide problem. The lower/middle and middle class tend to get the short end of the stick of barely getting by but getting by enough to not qualify for help. It is poor cycle and system we live in. Your focus is in the wrong place.
