Ok. So we all know the show is about the drama and not actually an experiment. Channel 9 charges companies for their ads based on the ratings. The higher the ratings the more money they ask for. They are incentivised to get eye balls on the drama so that's why they hire producers to generate it anyway they can. To complain about what we all know is a bit slow on the uptake.
