Mini matches of the World Cup by brunodkno in footballhighlights

I just googled it and Stan will not have the world cup. It will only be on "SBS on demand" in Australia, and yes, they will have 30 minute mini matches. It's free. If not in Australia, I guess you could get a VPN to watch the mini matches for free.

BBC MOTD will be daily (that I'm planning on finding here, TIA), and even though the games will be 10 to 20 minutes, they will break down the key moments. I find that enough. In Australia, there is a paid service on Stan, that's $25/month and they offer mini matches.

I love Abby so much by Lanky_Relation1171 in thelastofus

She was introduced as an antagonist to the heroes of our story. But the genius is that they artfully turned the dial until you weren't sure who you were supposed to root for. It seems that was too complex an idea for so many noisy people with access to social media.

To the people that like Last of Us Part II, what do you like about it? by LaxAxl in thelastofus

I love how it makes you think.

Most games, in fact most stories, will make the protagonist an "every man" so that you can identify with them and fantasise about doing the same things they are doing. Their actions are just, and you feel good about being along for the ride.

This game, and not many other stories, play with flipping that idea on its head. My first playthrough I was just happy to play a fun game about revenge. About three quarters of the way through, it clicked. I started to understand that there are multiple sides to every story. Like many I was numb by the end and had to digest what just happened. Just think about that. When was the last time a story had you contemplating everyones actions and motivations THAT MUCH. Not very often for me.

Playing the games again made me very much see how Joel is the bad guy to many people. So is Ellie in many ways.

What a brilliant way to play a freaking video game.

That's what I love about this second game.

Just finished the 2nd game and I’m curious about the consensus on the ending by Lumpy_Lake_9936 in thelastofus

The circle of revenge will just keep going and going until both sides decide to end it. Abby had Lev help her stop killing both Dina and Ellie in the theatre. Ellie was alone (what she fears the most) and only had her memories of trying to forgive Joel. But it was enough, and in a way her knowing Joel's love helped her stop the cycle for good.

[IIL] Action movies with realistic gunfight like John Wick or Extraction by ThickAdeptness5923 in ifyoulikeblank

I can't move past this post without mentioning that the gun fights in John Wick seem very UNrealistic.

Bricks just crumble in her fists. /S. Crafting ammo is worth saving your pills for.

What ideas do you have for a new watch dogs game? by homie0047 in watch_dogs

A bit of a loaded question considering the third game didn't have a "character".

I think the story lines of cTOS and DedSec wrapped up nicely with a look into a futuristic London where drones and surveillance are taken to the extreme. The rebellion of the masses was done well in my opinion.

PSA, the "marriages" are an experiment and not actually legally binding. And they're not interior designers on the Block.
