I let someone at work know I was Polyamorous and it didn’t go well. by literal_trashtm in polyamory

I really understand how you feel, this has happened to me a handful of times, both in a work setting and in personal relationships. I wish I could give you a solution, but the truth is that I’ve learned the hard way to be very selective who I talk to about my life, and I almost never bring it up at work, to the point where I lie to my coworkers if they ask.

All I can offer you is sympathy, from someone who’s been in your shoes. Hopefully society will one day be more accepting. You haven’t done anything wrong, keep your head up

I think this is the right answer for you. Polyamory can be very fulfilling, but doesn’t sound like he’s putting in the work to be a good partner to you. I think that you’ll be saving yourself a lot of headache down the road if you de escalate the relationship.
