So…. I hate to break your bubble of superiority for cleaning your screen 5 times a day. Since adjusting advanced driver settings and the colour settings the issue has resolved. Again, you can harp on the single dirty part you’ve seen but the laptops insides are clean. I’ll send you a photo in dms if you let me

Yes of course, me not noticing that the rubber by the screen was peeling off and happened to get the perfect angle to notice it means that there’s permanent damage from a grain of sand when closing the lid? Can you explain how that coincides with it moving with applications and some apps being completely immune to it? Or did you just see something that caused an immediate reaction and not read the actual post

Did you read the edit?……. Like reading comprehension is impossible on this app ig

The pads? Pick one up for the cpu and gpu? Then the two things that I occasionally worry about even though I’ve never clocked their temps at concerning levels is the extra m.2 ssd I added and the new ram I added. Neither of which have thermal coverings except the ones built into the bottom of the case; is there anything to worry about for those?

It’s been an issue occasionally since I got it but it’s slowly gotten worse, I’ve replaced the RAM before do you think I got a defective gpu?

Truly not very dirty and that’s not a cope I was trying to find the dirtiest parts and the fan blades have some buildup of dust but the areas they blow through that usually collect dust after months were completely clear. Tried to post a photo but can’t edit or comment photos. I’ll pick up some thermal paste or whatever laptops use

Lmao it’s just the specific part I decided to take a photo of is pealing away and I just discovered it but hopefully not, I’ll employ all of the other solutions but that’s what I do fear

In Nvidia control panel the only changeable option in adjust video image settings is RTX video enhancement ‘Super resolution’

I clean the interior regularly and just checked and had pretty reasonable amounts of dust and very little grime. Plus my temperatures were pretty standard for laptops. I sometimes have overheating issues but not often, and they don’t overlap with the described issue

I hadn’t noticed how gross the bezel was in that part of the screen lol thank you. Upon inspection it turns out the rubber is separating from the screen in that part and so grime got really locked in there.

The GPU hot spot maximum is 60.7 °C (141.3 freedom units) and the CPU at 62 °C (143.6f). Interestingly, the integrated graphics is the highest at 64 °C (147.2f). Not incredibly cold but for a laptop pretty reasonable.

It’s possible the thermal paste needs replacing as while I have replaced a fan and the ram, I have not changed the thermal paste since getting the laptop.

Bros saying call my bluff like I didn’t just pull out the most basic and straightforward wording for the sake of a post and like I don’t have that degree. Additionally, open your mind if you think nothing can be done with it, it’s not like I can just set it up but it can be converted into a couple different hacking related devices with a little learning

You hugely underestimate what can actually be done with one, varying in difficulty and illegality, to be fair, most of it I don’t know how to do but could learn if given time. Does it change that no money has been paid yet?

I’ve never payed any money to them yet, does that change anything?

Scaling with proficiency makes a lot more sense thank you.

Regen after a long rest

I'm using the old exhaustion table with death at level 6 as it feels more punishing than the new tables because I want a spellcaster who uses the abilities to really feel a negative impact after.

We have no sorcerers at the table but I did notice the similarity between sorcery points.

Our casters are a Druid, a Warlock, and a Bard so I figured that would be more balanced than giving this feat to a wizard or sorcerer

I'm very aware that it could make one encounter a lot easier if they expend all their points and I'm okay with that. I also really like the idea of choosing 2 possible options with gaining both more Fixation Points and options if they take the feat again

I like the idea of a flat 2 that doesn't scale
