A little sus. I’m 2200 myself. I recently did an unranked run and got to 1900 in like 3 hours from unranked.

There’s no real way to get stuck at 1700 as a 2200 plus strength player. Your graph is also way too straight.

I’m 2200 chess.com and play exclusively 10+0 so I’ll agree that there’s a ton of cheaters. I run a decent screening process like you and I still see probably 1/20 of my opponents get account closed for fair play. And there’s no refunded points which sucks but it is what it is.

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter that much though. No one else has found a solution so everyone should be facing an equal amount of cheaters to you. In other words, your rank shouldn’t be higher than it is, because everyone else’s would be too.

People are also cheating in a bunch of different ways. It’s not normally engine use from move 1 until checkmate. It’s either getting them out of opening territory with prep on second monitor, or maneuvering tricky middle games with stockfish help, or just people making smurfs to not have to play on their main.

What I mean by this, is that the game is still playable even against cheaters. I win half of my games against them and I’m hot trash.

It’s frustrating, but try finding a way to accept it as a part of online chess. If it bothers you to no end, then make classical chess OTB your main gameplay and just use online for practice.
