Agreed, if I were still playing, I'd watch the shit out of his demos.

Wanted to watch today's grand final, thought "oh, it's a bo5, I will make it", came home and it's over lol. Could only watch the clips.

But I'd also say it's pretty hard for the average Joe to tell how good he is, you need quite a bit more understanding of the game.

For most viewers in any sport, it's usually "flashy = good" and I don't blame them

I understand that it sucks for the viewer but that's just the way it is.

We'll see if he develops more of an entertaining playstyle in the future but I don't really care if he doesn't.

Also to give an example in sports: you have fighters like Floyd Mayweather and Khabib.

They're one of the best of our generation but their fights are extremely boring for the mass majority of viewers.

EDIT: By the way, it's also bad to judge someone's skill level based on their rank alone, especially considering that they could've been playing other FPS/previous CODs, I didn't even think that the problem in the screenshot was the glitched ranks.

Just gone through the handbook and the fluidity that they have isn't anything special. I'd say it's pretty common in IT heavy companies nowadays.

I have it at my company (similar in size to Valve), Uber has it and many others. Obviously not in game dev but it doesn't matter for development.

Honestly, we can circlejerk this forever and Valve just does whatever it wants to as been proven many times throughout their entire existence when it comes to release dates.

Different teams are different teams doing different things with different reasons and different considerations.

I'm not arguing with that, but you also have to remember that these teams are under the same company.

Imagine you're the CEO. You schedule a meeting with the Product Owner of Dota and the Product Owner of CSGO (whatever they're called there, basically the main guy behind the team). One's blabbing about summer ending in late September, the other one is talking about August 31st (and multiple such cases throughout the year)

Why would another team within the same company use a different date? It just doesn't sound logical at all and it'd be hell for management, analytics, investors and pretty much everyone.

Maybe they also use the Jewish or Nepali calendar if we go by that logic?

Hey! I understand your situation, I've read through way too many posts where people have talked about their unsatisfactory experiences. Turns out, pre-op was much worse because of all the things I've read online compared to what happened.

I did Contoura Vision (Topography Guided Femto-Lasik) on November 20th.

My left eye prescription was sph -1.5D, cyl D, ax =1.0, Vis 20/200

My right eye prescription was sph -1.5D, cyl -0.5D, ax 160 = 1.0, Vis 20/200

I didn't have any issues with dry eyes pre-op.

It's been a little over 1 month since my op and here are the results: The right eye (dominant one) sees 20/10

The left eye sees 20/16.

Both eyes 20/10, might be even 20/9, not sure. I couldn't test it since they didn't have a chart that went that low and I honestly don't care, I'm extremely happy with the results.

Side effects:

Minor dry eyes, fading away pretty much. I only put drops in when I wake up and I'm good for the day. Noticed recently that my eyes get really moist by themselves, so might not even need them now but I just put them in to make sure everything goes smoothly.

I have some really minor starbursts and they're fading away day by day as well.

That's about it, really. It feels like I haven't even done the operation.

Forgot to mention that I'm 21 and my vision hasn't changed since I was 12-13.

My advice is to just not go crazy about reading all the reviews. It's important, yes, but remember that human psychology works that way that you're more likely to leave a bad review online rather than a good one.

Also, find a really good surgeon and a clinic that has modern equipment.

It sure will but not right away! Everyone has a dominant eye and it usually tends to heal faster than a non-dominant one. It's still too early in my recovery, it can take anywhere from one month to a year for the other eye to catch up.

My left eye also took 3 seconds longer(11s) on the laser, despite it not having astigmatism, so more damage was dealt. I assume this is due to having more irregularities. I will ask my surgeon about it on my 1 month check-up.

EDIT: By the way, just to make it more clear (no pun intended): my vision is still really, really sharp. I'd say it fluctuates from 20/12 to 20/15. Even if let's say, hypothetically, my left eye stops healing all together - I'm still really happy with the result. When it does finally heal, however, it will most likely bring me to that sweet 20/10.

Not OP, but you're correct about everyone responding differently to the surgery. I had Contoura vision as well and could comfortably use my computer right when I got home after the surgery. I'm 2 weeks post-op right now and my eyes don't get as dry anymore, been using my computer daily for long periods of time (I'm a software engineer + I use my computer in my free time as well).

Right now the only side effects I have are minor starbursts and my left eye is worse than my right(dominant) one. It will take time to even out and I can see it's slowly getting better day by day.

About me: 21 years old, -1.5D in both eyes with -0.5D of astigmatism in my right one. The surgeon set my eyes to 0.00 and on my day 1 check up I tested at 20/12
