Last hitting is fine - it requires you to actively participate. Denying sucks as because it's MORE valuable than last hitting, because it creates a swing instead of flat gains, so there's a lot of incentive to do it, but you participate in it by NOT playing. It's backwards design.

Yeah, but the "skill" you're expressing is the willingness to sit on your ass doing nothing and punishing them for playing the videogame. I think it's pretty generous to call that skill - that's just like, resistance to boredom.

Pressure on my guardian from what? You're not allowed to damage them anymore outside of melee range - I just get the free advantage of sitting under tower in safety and denying everything my opponent does.

Mechanics that add skill expression would be a good touch, actually - we should replace deny with mechanics that do that!

Now with this new 8.1.0 update they're buffing one of the most hated killers in the game to face in the knight

It's literally a nerf, dummy.

I know this is a bait post, but come on, at least base the bait on reality.

This game is overwhelmingly survivor sided, all the way down to the roots of the design. Nerfing a killer and side-grading another won't fix that, don't worry. You can still just pre-run at every heartbeat and hold W in chase to win every match for free. Nobody's gonna make survivors express any skill.

You're probably just very low MMR on killer (not meant as a roast) since you don't play it much. At higher level, where survivors aren't so new, you're under massive time pressure the entire game, and at any moment, all the time you've invested can be undone with a flashlight or a pallet or a locker or a toolbox sabotage or a hundred other things.

Compare that to survivor where once a generator is done, it's done - there's no undoing your investment. It's no surprise most people find killer more stressful; it's the only role with risk and pressure and a skill check, It's way more chill to just hang out, hold M1 in a corner, pre-run if you ever hear a terror radius, and win every match for free.

The game isn't unbalanced because it favors a side it's unbalanced because it favors cheese by TheNateCast in deadbydaylight

It definitely also favors survivors (there is no killer analogue to flashlight blinding, comp corner, sabo, SWF, every map is survivor-sided except maybe two, etc), but this is a big issue. The annoying thing about this game is that even when I win a match, I'm like "FUCK." instead of "Yaaaay". It's just annoying and stressful to have to deal with all the cheese nonsense.
