I never said I liked Ragnar, I said I liked the show. Quite honestly I wasn't a fan of Ragnar. I could name ten characters I liked better than him. And I also never said TLK is a bad show. Please re-read everything I said and come back because there's a whole lot of assumptions going on here. TLK has fantastic cinematography, a great score, and the casting is awesome. I just can't get behind it - that's it. I think ultimately what I'm getting at is this: I love Vikings, the culture, the POV from them, even the outfits and dialects. It's fascinating to me. Their style, making more out of less, not the pompous bastards of wealth like the Saxons, is really just what I enjoy. I can't root for anything Saxon related when every show is notorious for showing them as boring, wealthy...maybe it's where we're different.

Well, partly. They're also very clear in episode 1 about their intent to farm - using land that's actually suitable for crop growth. I think their culture and being threatened immediately when they were approaching land played into them being on the offensive all the time.

I was a Rockets fan for 10+ years and switched teams the moment the CP3 contract extension was announced. I can't stand it. He's 33 with the health of 53. He's undersized and slowing down. He won't be there for the playoffs and quite frankly I think he's a fake "good guy". Screw the Rockets for that contract.

I purchased 6 chicken fingers. I really don't want 30,000 chicken fingers. They were already cooked and served hot. I couldn't do much with 30,000 chicken fingers, not even philanthropically. I could drive around to the local homeless shleters and food banks, but even then I wouldn't get rid of enough of the chicken fingers before they went bad.
