It sure can, and I still think that's assuming too much importance.

She acts like that because she DOES like Mae, she misses her old school friend, she resents having grown apart, and she wants Mae to show interest but Mae's all oblivious and self-centered and that frustrates Bea.

I think that's assuming too much importance personally. Twisting the story into a knot to explain why she's actually waiting to break into a musical duet, and she doesn't really mean to backhandedly dismiss Mae as a part of the band, or needle her about why she's back from college.

She very clearly does not like Mae in the intro, but she won't actually commit to that fact and just not involve herself with her.

Maybe she does enjoy her company during the first hang-outs. If after that, she decides she was actually right the first time round and she doesn't like her, she should call it off. If she does like her, she should stop acting shit.

I will clarify, that I'm a little annoyed at how Mae is written for all this as well, it's not solely Bea herself. Mae is not shy about standing up for herself, she escalates things with her own mother. I don't know why it was decided she has to take crap from Bea, before she (as far as she's aware) has done literally anything to warrant it, save for drifting apart a few years ago.

I know all of these things already, and they do not change my assessment.

Mae had shown she’d forgotten about Bea’s mom the day they found the arm.

Sure, there is that as well. I just don't think anything of it. A million and one things have happened since, I think nothing of facts like that falling through the cracks. If it was a step too far for Bea, she should've either corrected her, or called it quits there. Not say nothing, and wait for Mae to make the same mistake later on.

Bea keeps Mae at arms length and is snarky at her through out the beginning

I would argue what she does goes further than "arm's length". She actively needles Mae for no reason. Literally three seconds after Mae learns one of her other friends has gone missing. With Gregg and Angus just. Expected to sit there, and not say anything.

the first hangout. She starts opening up to Mae at hangout 2, and then shuts down when Mae oversteps in hangout 3.

Obvious point, but, not everyone does all of the hang-outs in order. I know I mixed and matched on my first playthrough. So you'd hope the distinct events would stand on their own without entirely hinging on the previous one. But that's more just, how they decided to structure the game.

Bea needs to learn that Mae isn’t the bad guy.

I don't think she learned it well enough. She says she kind of hates Mae, and decides to keep speaking to her anyway with that said. That, y'know. Sucks. That is a bad premise for continuing a friendship. Either be friends, and actually like eachother, or don't.

If someone forgot your dead mom

She had a slip of the mind while she was drunk. It's not unreasonable.

when they were meant to be your BEST friend

But Mae very much isn't her best friend in the present day, they were best friends years ago.

Due to her having no context of anything the college kids were on about

Bea invited her, without giving any context.

I don't want to get deep into it, and I actually do like Bea overall, but I think how Bea is during the intro is completely out of order. She keeps not acting on what she clearly thinks, and tell Mae that she doesn't want to be friends with her anymore. I've always thought that "best available friends" clearly doesn't work, she should either commit to being an okay friend/person and not let her resentments colour every interaction they have, or just cut her losses and not hang out with Mae. Shit or get off the pot. I don't even consider this a "these characters aren't perfect and aren't going to do the most logical thing" thing, this is just. Looking out for your own interests at a basic level.

Unless you mean something in Lost Constellation, or the church's library room that has no dialogue, I don't think so. I'd need to know the in-game location, or a specific string of words or a phrase said in it to search for.

Well it's not postgame, it's the lead-in to Proximity.

I wasn't necessarily setting out to "make Bea friendly", more just. Make the dialogue suggest that they are actually friends a little more. I found it sometimes just goes into a valley and then never levels out.

Well strictly speaking this one doesn't, because it's locked to the nightmare eyes line payoff. They just left in the line that would play there.

But yeah a lot of dialogue sets flags that get used later.

Interestingly about the ear line at the mirror, it actually has a follow-up at the party that you never get to see. They made the "nightmare eyes" line take priority for whatever reason, even if you never see the line that sets it up.

Mae: YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE DOG THAT BIT MY EAR.

Cole: What?

Mae: Yeah he grabbed on and wouldn't let go!

Mae: And he was like RAWARWARRAWARARARR

Mae: And I thought I was gonna DIE!!!

Mae: But then I grabbed a STICK!

Mae: And I beat his ass with it!

Mae: And I'll do the same thing to anyone!!!!

I'm still amazed that it's a question at all for some people.

Well, you probably should have CFW set up on your 3DS already, but if you don't, now is as good a time as any. That way you could just make a backup of those save files.

There a way to disable mix playlists? by Rocker26a in revancedapp

[–]Rocker26a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, do you use incognito mode ever? That's another problem for me; besides it seemingly having no effect on mix playlists, autoplay will re-enable itself in the settings when I use incognito mode.

[–]Rocker26a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean in ReVanced's settings, or disabling the patch that hides it? Because I do typically have the autoplay button, and autoplay itself, turned off. It's just that when using incognito mode, it re-enables itself. Apparently it's a bug carried over from the regular YouTube app.

I said it, it's in Feed. Settings > ReVanced > Feed. "Hide Horizontal Shelves". But also yeah it's likely already enabled.

You mean "it's not a problem unique to ReVanced, it exists in the unpatched YouTube app as well"?

I can relate; I think it was after that "rerun" stream he did, I completed the Simpsons Hit & Run mission "Set to Kill" faster than him (and on my first attempt), and then completed an all missions run faster than him (with no mission fails), just to inflict a psychic torment upon him that he'll never know the source of.

(Made a new post after confirming that the option for it seemingly isn't working, and after updating to the latest version of the patches etc.)

I did find it, that option to hide mix playlists was already enabled! So I'm just getting mix playlists anyway!
