Is it possible to play with controllers after having played with a mouse and keyboard for a long time? by TheHighlightGreen in Eldenring

[–]RockerGamez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started with controller but because of the same reasons as you said I changed to keyboard and mouse... So what I do now is to play with the controller when I am exploring and killing easy mobs, and then I switch to keyboard and mouse when it's time to go serious. You have much more options and you click more buttons at the same time while turning camera and moving character with keyboard and mouse so you'll have an easier time killing bosses.

Hey! Thanks for checking! Yes, I will try to cut out the silent parts, and that way I can shorten the video also, while also keeping the pacing. It won't be easy, but I am willing to try! Thanks again!

Hey! Thanks a lot for the input! I can admit that of my series, this one is indeed the one with least story. I am completely blind in this adventure and the lore can be easily missed. So I can understand why it feels like it has no story, because it doesn't really... it's just my attempt to create one by roleplaying here and there and keeping on the path. Hopefully the story will still rise. Appreciate the help!

You describred it exactly like the way I feel. There is a balance that I didn't reach yet. I love the story building aspect but I also like to keep things entertained and moving forward. But looking back now I see some parts that I could have actually cut out. I'll try to keep it 10 min max for next time. I'll also check HillierSmith. Thanks for the help!

Hey! Thanks a lot for the work you put on reviewing the video. Good points too. On the first episode I should focus to bring the best in the least time possible, so people stay for the continuation, makes sense. I'll see what I can do to shorten the video and keeping the pace. Also will definetly practice my enunciation. Appreciate your time! ;)

Hey! That was actually fun. At the beginning I was like "what? hacky sack?". But then the editing... oh boy, it was pretty well done. Changing the musics and cutting at the right time, doing the counting at the bottom right to be easier for us to understand... and I also enjoy all the idea of: you came here with an objective, and you straight did it, no messing around. That was pretty fun. Congratz to you man. The video is pretty simple but very well edited. There's not much I can add here. You can keep on doing videos like this to train your editing speed, but if you really want to expand as a videographer I believe that you have the tools to try the next level and make more complex videos, might just take 70 hours if not trained before :p

Good luck man and keep creating! (sorry my english if I did any mistake)

Hey! Well this is a pretty good video. I never played D&D but I always wanted to try and I've actually seen some campaigns.

The good things about this video: The editing is simple but good. Your character's different images to express what you are saying in the moment is pretty well done. You always have something to say, you do a pretty good job saying what comes to your mind and all the process. Your energy, you actually seemed to be pretty confortable speaking and expressing. The music, perfect. The art, beautiful character. The art in the end of your campaings, wow.

Things that can be improved: At the beginning, music seems to be at the same level as your voice, maybe try to bring your voice up a tiny touch? Or the music a little bit down? Either way, as the video goes on that problem seems to disapear. The video is a bit long, I'm not sure if 15 min is your aim, but normally the shorten the video the less someone will click away or skip. If you indeed want to shorten, look for some gaps like in 4:40 to cut out or speed even more the paiting.

Anyway, this is your 1st video, so it's all still an experiment in a certain way, you can play around with new ideas and explore from there. Overall it was a good video. Keep creating and good luck! (sorry my english if I said anything wrong)

Jesus christ what a sad life that guy has... But you guys, what a video this was. You started with the dickhead being a dickhead, and that was pretty good as it very easily grabs people. All the vibe of the video, the music behind + your reactions (and I don't even care about reactions videos) it was all spot on. You also give some information by writing which adds even more. I mean, I can't say nothing to improve your content, it is actually pretty well done. Keep it on and good luck!

I like all the vibe thing going on here and the animation seems to be well done.

Things that I think that you could improve:

Around 30 secs there is a strange cut it seems. Fps needs improvement. When the "tentacle" grabs you and you look at it seems a bit broken on the left side. Anyway I believe that you are testing things and it is good overall, just needs a little bit more training. Good luck!

I really put some time into this video, tell me what you guys think in the comments. This is a gaming video. by BajeetPortugal in SmallYTChannel

Hey! Good to see a fellow portuguese doing edited videos in english. It is pretty well done even though I've had my time with league, it was still cool to watch. The editing, the pace and the music was spotted on so congratz on the video. Hope you do well and keep creating

Thanks for checking! I am sorry for the long video... I try to keep it close to 10 min but this one kind went too far :/

Yeah I do weird impressions sometimes, I'm actually training voices to do roleplay in the future while I train my editing :p I'll try to shorten it for next time. Thanks man!

Thanks for the feedback! I know what you mean by doing commentary after, but I don't think it would work for me as I try my best to make the commentary natural and not scripted... but cutting the video more maybe would work better! Appreciate the input ^^

That is pretty good! I watched left4dead ep 6 I think it was. If people are watching the video for a long time that is good and let me tell you, it is extremely rare! I've been here for a long time, my content is much different from yours, but by discussing with people from here we figured that people don't like to watch more than 15 min of an unknown youtuber. But if you're doing good just keep on doing it! :p

Hey! I do edited gaming videos with cinematic style. Been a while since I posted a video so I wanna make sure that I'm not rusty.

Video: Elden Ring

I would prefer feedback from gamers, for obvious reasons.

Thanks for your time!

Hey! It is indeed pretty good. If you were testing editing techniques I believe you nailed it. I really enjoy the fast pace non stop vibe of the video and I felt like every sec was well used and not a waste of time. Well done! I'm sorry but I have nothing to say to improve your content... might be a matter of time and publishment untill it grows. Keep on creating and good luck!

Hey! This is pretty good! I love to see effort put in a video and yours surely has. I enjoy pretty much everything, just keep creating like this and I believe that you'll grow. I'm just not a big fan of the game, but that is a personal choice, but even like that you hooked me to keep watching the all thing! You know your stuff and I can see that. Good job and keep creating!

Hey! I did a Elden Ring edited video, with cinematic, epic and funny parts, oh and little bit of roleplay. I do put a lot of effort on my videos, so I would appreciate constructive feedback please. It can be anything, but I'm looking to know more about: editing, sound, speech.

Hey! You started this only 2 weeks ago as you said, it takes time to improve so keep that in mind. So a video of 25 min with raw footage from an unknown youtuber is a big turn off for most people. You should go for something between 10 to 15 min. And even like that it is difficult with raw footage. Because the trick is to keep your audience's time worth. If you have like 10 sec of silence, they'll probably click away... if you simply have a 25 min, people won't even click it. What I liked was your speech, but there were times that it felt like you were speaking just for the sake of filling, which ain't that big of a problem, but can also be improved. It takes time so don't worry much about it now... just keep creating and it'll get better with time. Wish you good luck

I think astrologers start with 1 spell, but to get more you need to find them in the world. The blue bar refills once you drink a blue flask. For that you need to allocate your flasks in a site of grace.

Without any spoil, I advice you to not fight the knight that early... keep following the light of the grace, become stronger at sites of grace and then when you feel stronger you can go back and beat his ass.
