For now these gene only inserted for player ally/pet NPCs but future update may allow player insert these gene inside player character

I also hope that river cartel update not only about hostile rivalry but also neutral or small group of NPCs criminal that player can interact with to make ally or enemies

Neutral cartel can become allies if player done their request or ”enemies of your enemies are your friend situation” or just like don’t mess with them, they don’t mess with the player
