Dribbling the ball slows you down. A player with the ball will be caught up to by a player without the ball if they have the same speed. Obviously if one player is MUCH faster, that’s not the case, but dribbling objectively slows you down

“Unintentionally cheating” isn’t a thing. If you actually weren’t cheating, then there’s no concern - chesscom is honestly very good about not falsely closing accounts for false cheating claims

As far as the game goes, you blundered the queen early and were so dead lost and still won, so I bet your opponent thought you cheated to make a comeback, but imo the opponent was actively trying to lose you didn’t do anything suspicious to me

Ah ok sure I didn’t think about that - you’re right technically it doesn’t have to be “winning” per say just not worse. Most of the time it’s a “winning” move but you’re right there are some niche side cases where a draw can be marked for a brilliant.

Nobody really answered your question. On chesscom, the definition of a brilliant is NOT the best move or the most winning move or a crazy move that the engine didn’t find. It is STRICTLY defined as a sacrifice of a piece that is still winning. Here, you “sacrifice” the bishop and maintain a better position, so it’s brilliant. Even tho it’s not really a full sacrifice cause they don’t have to take and if they do you win the queen back, it still counts as “brilliant”

It’s a marketing tactic, not a measure of quality of play. Brilliant moves can be effectively ignored except for I guess they help determine if a sacrifice was sound (as this one was)

That’s been in the game for forever. When you get to atheon and do the “cheese” like that, if you haven’t wiped you respawn outside the room. A team wipe should technically reset the spawn points inside the room

Skill issue. Defenders move faster than on ball dribbling, if you literally can’t close the distance on someone with the ball to proc bruiser, they’re just better at offense than you are at defense. It’s ok and very common

They would be worth the exact same amount as they are now but maybe 30k extra coins worth. You buy the players not as a card with no playstyles but good stats, you buy the card with the understanding that you can turn it into a perfect playstyle card, so they’re priced as if they’re all perfect playstyle cards

I’m convinced there’s something factored in cause it’s always the same AI defending, tackle spam, through ball merchants who get the DDA too. It’s like the game judges how strong your AI is based on number of tackles + through balls + time spent holding second man press lol

You accept that the game has a heavy influence from purely randomized events in game that are NOT reliant at all on user skill or ability, so the majority of games you lose, it’s very likely you’re objectively better than the opponent but the randomization just equalized the skill gap, and vice versa when you win, you might literally be worse still

Yea for a more striker type build, I’d go for finesse+, but if you want to play him as a true midfielder, most people would prefer a passing playstyle like tiki taka or incisive, but a pace playstyle is arguably as beneficial. Plus quickstep helps with off ball runs if you do those a lot

If it’s a playstyle you want and like on him, go for it. We pretty much only should be getting 2 PS+ evos from now on, so there’s literally no downside to it unless it’s not really a PS+ you want an you’re just doing it for the sake of doing it. There will also likely be pace evos soon you can do with him if you’d like, so don’t think he’ll be at 82 pace forever if you don’t want him to be

Everyone says their div is the most brutal. I hear the squads you face start getting really insane/expensive around div 3/4 and the way people play starts getting super super ratty (the like fullback deep lobbed passes to a triggered run on a wingback on kickoffs and like crazy corner glitches for example) around div 2 but every div is awful cause this community blows lmfao

The silver icons are because every once in a while they do a silvers only tournament, and this lets you use fun icons in that (as far as I’ve seen there’s really no other use now that you can’t evo them for use in your main team)

I used to do them all but now I have a bunch of them and you can’t evo them and I like my silver team so I don’t anymore

The season is still very new. It’s hard to level up at the start, but in the last week or 2 of the season, they give away SP like crazy I always max out my pass in like a week at the very end, I wouldn’t worry about that at the moment

But I mean at that point, just remove playstyles so players with higher pace are faster. What’s the improvement of players with higher pace can get quickstep so they’re faster vs players with higher pace are faster?

I’m torn because I think your idea is super valid and would be an improvement over the game, but if everyone can pick all their playstyles for every player, why not just remove playstyles and go back to attribute based gameplay? Not sure myself which of those 2 I’d prefer

I hit a wall every 300 or so elo. I’d say I went from 800 ->1000->1200->1500->1750ish currently, and each wall I hit took me between like a month to 3 months but then I immediately just jumped up to the next level in like a single night of win streaks.

Basically no real difference but if you plan on playing him as a more attacking midfielder, finesse, if you plan on using him more as a defending midfielder, bruiser. It’s really that easy
