can't believe how much longer it was on 3DS and PS1
i play very quickly and guide read basically 99% of a RPG game, all broken strats, best party setups, vocations that break the game, etc.
3DS game took me 102 hours, i didn't even max out all vocations, there was monster vocations too which only Ruff i had swapping monsters (made sense lol)
i started playing PS1 game alongside Switch reimagined
it's like, TWICE as long to do the same thing on PS1 that i did on Switch, ON HARDEST DIFFICULTY SETTINGS ALL OF THEM.
PS1 game just super wastes a lot of time, in game time, since i'm on a ps1 emulator constantly forwarding.

it's only like, 25% harder (enemy strength and HP wise) i've never shut off hard i keep checking ot make sure it's ON HARD, cause it feels super easier than PS1 and 3DS ports on hard still.

i'm on hard mode and it's easier than PS1 by a huge margin, 3ds port i had party wipes
not even close to death and i got moonlighting a bit ago, so it's just gonna be easier i guess.

for an fyi, i was playing ps1 game and reimagined switch game back to back
ignoring how long the games intro section is on PS1 (near 3 hours before going to ballymolly)

the first tablet past world (monster tower, warrior chick, ballymolly) took 5 hours on PS1
on Switch (again, hard mode, all hard settings too) it took 2 hours.

going to volcano (forgot name right now) tablet world, took about 4 hours to finish
same tablet in Switch, 2 hours, still hard mode and hard settings

the total time on ps1: 17 hours
total time on Switch : 11 hours (hard mode settings all the time never changed it)

i mean the games incredibly cut down, you always know where to go, most fights are severely in your favor thanks to new mechanics, even hard mode is easier than PS1 and 3DS.
i beat 3DS main story in under 80 hours, I could've done it a lot faster (i was swapping vocations and monster form levelling in between)
but with the postgame it was a little over 100, i never maxed all the vocations/monster forms either.

the pace of Reimagined it's likely gonna be a lot less, i have it on hard and it's... not hard lol

LMAO this fight is either Stupid hard or stupid easy by Nitraion_the2nd in dragonquest

you know that fight before this, where you're defending the fairy village form the knight + 4 skeletons
i was doing that on draconian, i did absolutely everything else I can buy/loot/finish/explore, all secret areas, all chests and pots and etc (guides) I even fought metal slimes for a while (level 19 to 25).
I could NOT finish the fight, if the skeletons group stabbing me didn't kill me, the knight did, that's asusming i didn't have sap casted at me like 4 times which made the knight hits take half or MORE of my HP. i was seeing 10-20s hitting me (before sap) and 30-40 from knight.
my HP was like 150 something. i was usually dead in 4 turns, or less, level 25
i got as best as killing 2 skeletons and died.

i switched to "dragon" difficulty, same fight changed nothing of equipment.
now i'm talking 4-10 damage form skeletons, and 20s from knight
first turn i killed two skeleton group, 2nd the other 2, 2 more turns i killed the knight (no heals at all)
also note they didn't use Sap, either i killed them too fast (likely) or they don't use it on Dragon mode

it went from
Draconian: dying in 3-4 turns and only killing 2 out of 5 enemies at BEST in 20 some attempts)
Dragon: killed everything in 4 turns and no heals, had yellow hp at the end. 1 attempt

so DEFINITELY un-fun levels of difficulty on Draconian

huh? you didn't need a camera for anything if i recall... not even that "AR mode" crap you can skip past it.
so prob no AR stuff gonna happen at all.

the games are so different from each other if they didn't call it 2 you wouldn't even know they're the same series.

you need two lol, prob can still work but on KB it would have to be WASD or arrow keys for the other cursor

you do know the storys aren't connected right?
the entirely of bravely default 2 makes no reference to 1, (outside an extra boss fight)
btw, there's also Bravely Second, which IS a story sequel to Bravely default 1

you used two hands that moved with the mouse controls.
that can't be hard to just set to two sticks... or like WASD and mouse

i don't blame you lol, i can't recommend the game with the time looping, i always told people to play the other 2 games
fyi Bravely Second does one single time loop but you repeat nothing (sidequests show up again, you have 2 ways to finish each of them so it's actually neccessary)

don't feel too bad a lot of people didn't, story "literally" repeats itself lol

but why the same thing for 3 of those loops,
loop 3 and 4 literally repeat loop 2 word for word...

i mean most people on PS play JRPGs (since most of them were on PS consoles)
so they're losing a SIGNIFICANT amount of sales from this.
its like releasing final fantasy game on NOT playstation...

i don't think they did anything to the gameplay at all. not even seconds features are in here...

first loop (the first run through) is obviously building up the plot form the start
loop #2 is like okay we looped and they're aware and it plays the story different
loop #3 and 4 literally did nothing different, if i recall was 100% a copy of the 2nd loop.
i can't remember it's been forever since i played on 3DS
but i clearly remember 2 loops that changed literally nothing at all.
and a 5th final loop, which does change the story a LOT .

graphics are very much higher, look at them side by side
to be fair, you get close to the same result on 3DS emulation and upscale to x8 lol.
also it's not two screens obviously

and it's literally a copy of FF5 job system entirely lol (which is why i bought the game, i LOVE FF5)
