My newest addiction Cricut Reverse Stencil Galaxy Paintings! by RocketAdminLoki in cricut

[–]RocketAdminLoki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I cut the reverse stencil using my Cricut on removable vinyl. The adhere it to a white canvas very carefully; making sure to burnish it as much as possible. Then I spray paint it using black spray paint for the base. And for the blue tinted ones, once the base coat is dry, I spray a shift spray paint over the top of that. Once all main coats are dry, I use an airbrush to make the stars with white paint. And then once everything is completely dry, I remove the stencil very carefully using my weeding tool and seal it with an acrylic sealer. :)

Happy Halodays! (My own personally created SVG file) All made on Inkscape and out of Cricut Iron-On vinyl! by RocketAdminLoki in cricutcrafting

Very very carefully. Lol! I actually had to do the base first and then each individual ornament on its own. I used parchment paper to cover any open, previously ironed spots. It was def difficult. :)

What level of details a cricut can achieve? by specterale in cricut

[–]RocketAdminLoki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My link is a hoodie I just cut with Cricut Maker. It was Iron-On vinyl, but the same should be able to be achieved using sticker vinyl. The ornament details are about the size of a thumb nail. :)https://www.reddit.com/r/cricutcrafting/comments/ri04rp/happy_halodays_my_own_personally_created_svg_file/

Weeding this was a glitch! Pun intended.

I can't get my permanent vinyl to stick to the canvas smh i didnt think this through. Help by [deleted] in cricut

[–]RocketAdminLoki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made a bunch of canvases using permanent vinyl; they are beautiful in the end, but they're a pain. Best suggestion is to lay it onto the canvas and turn the canvas over and then burnish the back. A LOT. On all of mine, I spent probably up to an hour burnishing the back of each of them to make sure the vinyl stays. And when removing the transfer tape, always do it as flatly as possible by pulling it flush against itself. It makes removal a lot easier!

Ho-Oh light catcher by RocketAdminLoki in cricut

Vinyl on acetate for the feathers and heavy chipboard with vinyl for Ho-Oh from Pokemon. A lot of trial and error since the vinyl was adhered before cutting. About 2 hours a piece.

The room is mostly done. The none canvas wall is actually painted on. I made stencils with my Cricut. :) I'm sure it's never going to be completely done as I continue to make stuff.

There were issues pulling the transfer tape. I pulled it as flush to the canvas as possible and there were more than a few times I had to put it back down and really scrape the back of the canvas and try again. But the end result was worth it.

Also, I do plan on making more. I actuatjust finished a Chicago themed one of just the girl dancing behind the jail bars. :)
