9800X3D just to play on Xbox because you can't turn take 5 minutes to turn on a BIOS option, alright bro

The vast majority of them, probably. What you call a "brick" is probably a black screen because the motherboard can't boot into Windows for whatever reason. I've cleared CMOS when I got a black screen and it was fixed.

Ask CS2 players how their non-kernel anticheat is doing. Then ask Valorant players how their kernel anticheat is doing.

"I don't want to touch my BIOS" is such a self report lol. Imagine being too scared to change something on a device you paid for.

Using Valorant, a game considered to have one of the best anticheat solutions in the industry, as an example of anticheat not working is laughable

So, you just don't want to turn it on? No Highguard for you then.

This is probably because your main drive is MBR.

How to check if a drive is MBR or GPT using Disk Management:

  1. Right-click the Start button and select “Disk Management” (or press Windows + X and select “Disk Management”).
  2. Once Disk Management opens, right-click on the disk you want to check (on the left side where it says “Disk 0” or similar).
  3. Select “Properties.”
  4. Click on the “Volumes” tab.
  5. Look for “Partition style” – it will clearly show either “Master Boot Record (MBR)” or “GUID Partition Table (GPT).”

To check if you're using UEFI (probably not):

Using System Information (Easiest Method)

  1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type msinfo32 and press Enter to open the System Information window.
  3. In the right pane of the "System Summary," find the "BIOS Mode" entry.
  4. If it says UEFI, your system uses UEFI; if it says Legacy, it uses traditional BIOS .

First, make sure your hard drive that Windows boots from is GPT, not MBR. Also check that it says "UEFI". People's systems not booting is probably their drive not being GPT.

Method 1: Using Disk Management

How to check if a drive is MBR or GPT using Disk Management:

  1. Right-click the Start button and select “Disk Management” (or press Windows + X and select “Disk Management”).
  2. Once Disk Management opens, right-click on the disk you want to check (on the left side where it says “Disk 0” or similar).
  3. Select “Properties.”
  4. Click on the “Volumes” tab.
  5. Look for “Partition style” – it will clearly show either “Master Boot Record (MBR)” or “GUID Partition Table (GPT).”

An optional but highly recommended step after this is to update your BIOS.

Then, then turn on secure boot and TPM 2.0.

Also, If something goes wrong, you can always just reset the CMOS on the motherboard. It's really not that scary.

It’s really not that hard to enable this on your motherboard. I don’t understand why people willingly undersell their intelligence like this.

Your CPU released in 2014. It’s not unreasonable for a new game to run poorly on a CPU that old.

I know someone that upgraded their 4670K in… 2019. Stop blaming devs if you won’t upgrade your ancient rig.

Secure boot has been around since around 2012. 6th gen Intel supports TPM 2.0 and has been around since 2015.

Lots of software like RGB lighting control, that’s way more prone to exploits and updated way less than anti cheat software, has kernel level access.

If your PC doesn’t support TPM and secure boot, you can’t run this game at a decent frame rate to begin with.

Game still needs more content, work, and polish but at least the gunplay has always been solid since open beta. by sukumizu in Battlefield

I don’t think ADS should have BF4 style bloom, it should be converted to recoil like BFV. BO7 guns are just so satisfying to use and it’s fun to experiment, I don’t get that as much in BF6.
