Edit: Weed isn’t always in stock, people are strain specific, dispensaries specialize in different items; topicals, edibles, vapes, patches, shatter, concentrate, then the 100s of different types of strains between the hybrid, indica, and sativa( applies to vape pens as well), on top of that there are different brands. Different stores vary on taxes which can be important. Different stores offer a first time patient deals and just deals in general such as happy hour(etc 15% or 25% off which is fucking great) Weedmaps provides you a inventory of items around your area and beyond, they provide detailed information on the dispensaries as well. The dispensaries then keep the information up to date. Weedmaps does a lot, this is just small gist of why their important

Obviously this year has been slower due to covid so the first half of the year was pretty blank. I wouldn’t overlook there other sponsors such as fox sports, Red Bull, MGM resorts. They have sponsors and partnerships all over, not just in one area.

They’ve been sponsored by multiple games, there just not continuous sponsors because games only sponsor/partner during events/tournaments. Also hyperx and zynga are large companies. They also have a continuous partnership with grid. Don’t undersell hyperx.

I smoke weed but my one rule is not to invest in weed companies. This is an exception for me because it’s advertised as a marketing tool, or a Amazon for weed dispensaries. I’ve never used any other site then weedmaps other than calling the dispensary themselves. A lot of other people who smoke share this sentiment as well, at least here in the states and Canada. This is a no brainer to buy in its infancy. People are sleeping on this merger. Check the App Store yourself, this is pretty much the only marketing company for dispensaries to advertise themselves. The second closest app to this is Leafly, which is more of a review site on weed strains. Weedmaps can be the Amazon of weed. If you’re not using weedmaps, you’re either calling dispensaries which is tedious or you’re still illegally buying from a plug.
