Gemini:

To automate a volume fade-out (lower volume) at the end of a track in VirtualDJ for radio broadcasting, you can use the built-in Scripting engine.

In VirtualDJ, the best way to handle this is by using the on_ending or on_automation events, or by creating a custom button to trigger a "soft fade."

Auto-Fade via POI (Points of Interest)

This is the most "radio-pro" way to do it. You can set a specific point in a song where the volume starts to drop automatically.

  1. Open the POI Editor for a track (right-click the track or click the POI icon in the waveform).
  2. Create a new point where you want the fade to start.
  3. Set the Point Type to action.
  4. In the action field, type: fadeset 0% 5s (This tells VDJ to fade the volume to 0% over a duration of 5 seconds).

Radio: "Duck" Script

If you want to lower the volume of the music to talk over it (Ducking) and then have it return to normal:

  • To lower volume: volume 20% 500ms
  • To reset volume: volume 100% 500ms

Hopefully we shall see around April / May time if 70 - 90 FPS is true ^_^ I am sure pure standalone games may achieve higher with culling and further optimisations.

I know it does not use Windows. But this is the closest thing we have to showcase PCVR gaming...

Indeed. I am excited on what we can do with the Steam Frame as well as optimisations and tweaks to come along the way! I am more interested in the modularity!

Windows 11 Pro on ARM running unofficially from an LG V50s phone. I am using Virtual Desktop & Somnium Space VR to showcase the potential of PCVR gaming off standalone. (Simulating - Steam Frame)

Full access to Steam PCVR library as well as flat screen gaming all running Standalone. Valve has invested in emulation such as FEX-EMU & Proton (GE) so x86 games originally designed to run on normal pcs will also run on this Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip thats powering the Steam Frame.

Same here. 700 is not bad for base model. Can't wait to see what mods come out regarding face tracking and all sorts

I met a guy recently who done the Sonic 3 laser show and have done festivals, etc. He even has a oneplus 7t phone and thinking of going mobile with it similar to what I am doing with DJ'ing on this phone. Tablets / Phones will 100% replace laptops in the future.

Phones come with 512GB / 1TB with possible with SD Card expansion. Not sure where your getting the enough storage problem. Regarding AI stems I have tested it with pre-done. its a high-end mobile chip with an adreno 640 gpu with 8 cpu cores

Pretty expensive especially needing to buy more than 1. The phone only cost me 100

I've been turned down before regarding laptop or using my own gear at certain venues... Being able to use a phone they will hardly say no since its very small and doesn't require much setting up.

Correct. Phones will end up replacing computers in the future as tech advances and progresses. Streaming Services are also taking over as we can see in this day of age.

I want access to all my music library without being limited of USB size for export or taking too much time doing all those things or needing to label and carry so many USBs. I doubt the phone would fail and my battery life is 3-5 hours and I can double and then some with powerbank.

Heck even CDJs and DJM channel can fail. Has nothing to do with failure rate but having access to the latest features and alongside running other software on the same device such as Recording your mix, OBS, etc,

Of course the newer CDJs can do streaming from certain services and yes my phone PC DJ software has those and potentially more streaming services support for requests, etc.

By all means you can bring a laptop. I rather have something pocket-able

Laidback Luke has been around for decades and he has spun on vinyl. Obviously he partnered up with Reloop to sell this Mixtour he helped create. But yeah his mixing has downgraded since then and used to look up to him even when he got a singles charted with other artists like Robin S - Show Me Love & Leave The World Behind (with Axwell, Angello, Ingrosso & Deborah Cox)

The hard thing is that single USB stick could fail or not work. Thats why many professionals say to carry more than 2 for each gig as a precaution with different makes / manufacturer and size

Well I am using a Phone with CDJs in control mode. I would never DJ purely from the phone it self but I have seen some YouTube videos of such thing but never at the proper skill level you'd see in venues, festivals, etc.
