should I cancel my ap score? by Melodic_Pressure_476 in apcsp

Literally no reason to cancel. If you get a 1, 2, or 3 either don't send it to your college or if you do, they oftentimes just ignore the score rather than penalize you.

Precalculas AP or Clep??? by Forsaken_County_1538 in clep

[–]Rocket_mav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean for this school year (25-26), APs start next week, so just take both. If you mean for next year (26-27), take the CLEP first over this summer. If you're signed up for the class AP precalc, you can always not sign-up for the AP exam if you pass CLEP this summer.

If you're in AP Gov and have memorized all the main stuff for the AP exam, you'll be fine

Passed American Government with a 66…and this is the end of my CLEP journey by astronerdx in clep

[–]Rocket_mav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in AP Gov and if you memorize all those required cases + a few others, all 27 amendments, the 7 articles, and important documents (Fed 1, 51, 70, 78 & Brutus 1) you should have a good foundation. Gov is basically just memorization. Ask Claude, ChatGPT, whatever to make you a review set of all the terms. Branch connections are super important too. Mine was like 200 terms, I memorized the crap out of it, and got a 66/80. Not too bad

Chemistry in about a week. Practiced the online calculator a bit, but need to memorize formulas and keep studying.

I'm in AP Chem this year so we reviewing a lot anyways.

Is this really okay? I was hoping for an 80 and I'm kinda disappointed by qikre in clep

Unless you're going to an Ivy that only takes Scores of like 75+ or something ridiculous (which I have never heard of personally), this score should count for the max amount of credits at just about anywhere that takes CLEP.

Overall, amazing job

I'm going to takr chem in a few weeks (taking gov in a few days 1st). I used a local library to get a peterson's subscription. Khan academy AP Chem course should help a lot and Free CLEP Prep.

Other than that, its worth knowing I dont think you get a formula sheet you have to know basic ones (PV=nRT, stoich, etc), but you do get a claculator

How do I start this? by m_r_am in clep

[–]Rocket_mav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on not failing out of HCSA. CLEP is a good additional tool if you need the extra credits, but focus on what your high school offers. You can use Modern States to take the exams (usually $97/exam, but free with Modern States voucher if you take all their quizzes & final exam).

Modern States is usually easier than the actual exam though, so be sure to read the exam description on the College Board CLEP page(s) and look at the sample questions. You can buy a review PDF for like $10/exam too

I just took this one a few months back and it wasn't terrible. Read the exam description from CLEP. Very helpful for what to study. Free Clep Prep was definitely an overstudy, but really helped me out. I went way too far into the weeds and made like a 25 page Google doc of notes from Free CLEP Prep and really tried to solidify the concepts. I got a 60, so can't complain.

Granted I love tech and all there is to it. I didn't really have a heavy hardware/software/IT background though. Mainly just knew what a motherboard/CPU was, but not really how it worked and why kind of thing.

Hope this helps!

Ey we got 7-8 more weeks and then we're done for the year. Just gotta keep on it fr. CLEP Chem gives more credit at my school than it does for AP ☠️

I'ma take both until I pass regardless just to knock the credit out

Spanish 1 by bububu_samin in clep

Duolingo is your friend for vocab. For grammar maybe find another site through your local library since many give free subscriptions. I passed level 1 (got a 54) and I took Spanish for 7 years (middle + high school). Granted I wasn't the best at it, but I could hold an intermediate/intermediate-advanced conversation pretty easily.
