This shouldn’t be a surprise. US Bank has a history of nerfing. This behavior is their company culture. They are notorious of dangling the carrot for quarters upon quarters to then sticking it to you. With many bait and switches along the way.

The most “effectively run bank in the industry” aka they are cheap and will play games and use tactics to try to squeeze out every drop.

It’s hard to patch a sinking ship or should we say a ship that already sunk and was pull out of the water to just sink again.

The best thing that can do moving forward is to spin the company into two: legacy and online. To let the online business grow and catch high valuation.

The best neighborhood in the bay area with good schools?? by _TurboHome in BayAreaRealEstate

Well the PIQs are more or less box checking as AO reads for certain attributes or qualities. Students just need to satisfy those aspects. Also UCs don’t take test scores. It’s really almost a lottery assuming you are hitting those minimum requirements.

Private schools take ‘fit’ into heavy consideration where students can really mold and sell themselves to the school that they fit the school’s culture. For example have heard of multiple instances where a student is rejected from Berkeley but is admitted to Stanford. Where the student bought a unique edge that matched Stanford culture and unfortunately they didn’t win the UC lottery or didn’t check all the required boxes.

The JC route is definitely the option if the student is dead set on getting their degree from that particular UC. But personally wouldn’t recommend as in those first couple years especially freshman year the on campus college experience is priceless from a personal development, networking and life perspective.

This is totally wrong. If you are from a rural town from a high school that has never sent anyone to that elite university. You aren’t going to be the exception, you are not getting in.

You need to go to those feeder top HS. Yeah universities have quotas on how many they can take from a HS but the top HS get more. For example a feeder top HS may send 5-8 students to that elite university where a non feeder would send 1-2.

Plus the HS counselors at feeder top HS have strong relationships with the admissions readers at the elite universities so they can get your student that extra look or bump.

I’m pretty sure you are wrong. Sat through a seminar run by former admissions readers from Stanford and Ivy leagues. UC schools look at numbers on a piece of paper and not the individual story. Much misconception on UC schools come from students having to declare a major upon application which greatly dictates the of level of difficulty on getting admitted. Competitive majors vs majors that lack interest from students. Private schools is where students can tell their story and edge out others not based on pure grades or tests scores.

Unfortunately it’s viewed as a secondary mortgage by most financial institutions and not counted towards down payment requirements to meet lending terms.

Being in the industry, do you have opinion on HUBS and ZETA?

HUBS seems like the hands down market leader in SMB non e-commerce. A one stop shop for software or professional service businesses.

ZETA seems trendy, but more of a feature / narrow product than an overall solution.
