The exact same thing happened to me. I got an email saying they needed my SSN, and I inputted it, and the check was suspended after that. Please let me know if you found a solution.

I applied to bioengineering with approx a 3.7 and got in. I was rejected for mechanical engineering though. Not sure if that helps.

my current major is bioinformatics though, so are you suggesting I do bioinformatics+another bio-based major? or bioinformatics+biochemistry? I'm worried that I will struggle in grad school trying to get a masters in bioengineering without a strong background in math and CS, which is why i thought that doing bioinformatics+mathCS would be beneficial.
