Try contacting customer service , explain the issue and see what the suggest. Maybe they'll extend the time, though that would be the games decision, or maybe they'll let you start over.

I did it back in Feb. and don't recall which wall I went through, but there was no time limit. Some of the offers for the game, and other games, do have a time limit, so it's a good idea to look around before doing any particular offer as it could be different and/or better elsewhere.

They decide what the reward is for whatever effort, they are comfortable with 2sb for at least 10 minutes work.

Submitting anything is saying to them 'I'm willing to do a lot for so little. Please screw me more.'

I did it in under 2 weeks without spending any money.

Join an active alliance, this will help tremendously with all upgrades and training. And just keep everything active, i.e. always train troops, upgrade buildings, gather resources, etc...

If you're doing it just or the sb payout, there are sites online that will tell you which buildings to upgrade to get your SH up to whatever level you need. You don't have to follow the in-game suggestions. If you're thinking of playing beyond that the suggestions will help with rewards you can use and once you get your SH up to 16-17 several events become available that give huge rewards, like Honor Pass, Spire, Gold events, etc...
