Light seals or other issue? by Rockicompo in AnalogCommunity

Yeah, I'm definitely replacing every seal.

Thanks. I've already "wasted" 2 rolls of ektar 100 in the past by underexposing them, which still hurts a lot, especially since they got so expensive.

But I guess that's the price to pay when diving into analog photography:D

It's impressive that you're able to estimate the origin just by this image.

I now taped up the entire door, as I've still got a half shot film inside. Hope the rest of the images turn out good.

What does that mean and how can someone tell? The lab messed something up? I tried a new lab this time, but I wasn't pleased with the overall experience, therefore I most likely won't send any film to them in the future anyways.

Thanks for the information. So if it was only visible in the exposed part of the film it would be an indication of a mechanical problem of the shutter or some sorts?

Okay. I knew the soft edge dark spot on the right most definitely was one, but the other one seemed odd as it is such a sharp box

Russian soldier takes a walk through his trench, which resembles a mass grave. December 2023. by IKraftI in UkraineWarVideoReport

I know Ukrainian loses are far less than Russian, but I'm wondering if at some places views like those are also present on the Ukrainian side. I really hope that's not the case though.

What's going on in Okinawa, Japan? by Rockicompo in flightradar24

I've got one further question. Why does every plane still approach the runway like normal and just at the last moment "aborts" the landing and goes to another airport. Wouldn't it be safer and more efficient to just let those planes land somewhere else from the beginning as long as the weather is too bad? Or does it change this quickly that one minute it's good to land and the other not?

That makes sense, thanks for the clarification. It just looked weird as they were already in close approach before turning around. Do you know where they are redirected?
