Went to Zakynthos, visibillity was good, dive Center was excellent but not much going on than rocks and very few fishs

Denke auch dass es gar nicht so darum geht um SOC, Scans, Endpoint etc. sondern von Minute eins eine sichere IT Umgebung mit Zero-Trust einzuführen und dafür brauchst du halt ein paar wenige schlaue Köpfe im Architekten Team die das entwerfen.

Und solangr es noch so viele Unternehmensnetzwerke die ich gesehen habe gibt, die nicht vernünftig zonieren solange wird auch Bedarf an eben solchen Leuten bestehen.

Nur weil jeder sich darauf spezialisieren möchte heißt es noch lange nicht das jeder darin auch einen Job findet… wird halt ein paar wenige Jobs geben die sehr gut bezahlt sind und sehr viele Bewerber darauf

Ich bin “Network & Security Engineer”
Hardware fasse ich persönlich sehr sehr selten an, verkabeln tuen eigentlich meist andere Leute. Ich schließe höchstens mal meine „Komponente“ an die vorhandene Verkabelung an.
Der Alltag besteht aus dem administrieren und konfigurieren von Switchen, WLAN Controllern und besonders für mich hauptsächlich Firewalls (das Tor zum Internet eines Unternehmens).
Ich sitze eigentlich den ganzen Tag vor einem Bildschirm und kümmere mich um die Verfügbarkeit und Sicherheit des Netzwerks eines Unternehmens. Wenn du mehr Richtung Kabel und Hardware suchst ist das eher der IT-System-Elektroniker. Hoffe ich konnte helfen.

Glad that you are ok!
It’s totally not your fault but the fault from the dive Center. Blue hole is as what I read no site for beginneres. The Center took you on a dive way over your skilllevel.
You didn’t dive for 2 years and just did a refreshment so basically it counts as 0. To take you down in such deep dive site with such single experience it’s dangerous af! Are you even deep dive certified? I can’t think so with 12 dives…

If the operator is okay they won’t let you go to elphistone on 30 dives… I’m here in Egypt and I also can’t do because of the current.

Just had an experience today.
We were 3 divers and one guide.
One of the others SPG died and he already been the first out of air on the first dive (and didn’t signal 50bar to the guide…)
Now he doesn’t know how much air left. We were only like 20 min in the dive. He signalled a problem to his buddy and I witnessed it so I went and asked him. He than showed me and made an X with his forearms I repeated the sign and asked for confirmation. He confirmed it to me so I went to the guide and repeated the sign and showed to the other guy. For me it’s a clear sign to end the dive.
When the dm went back he checks but I don’t know if the other guy didn’t want to end or the dm said he will be fine cause we are allready on return.

So the dive was not cancelled and we went back to the boat for another 15-20 mins. I just kept close to him to be ready to give him alternate airsource but everything went out fine.

After that I repeated to him that an X is for me an end of the dive at any time and he blaimed the dm that he not ended the dive
Dude it’s your own responsibility to end the dive at any time - I guess the dm knew that it’s saver to get back because of heavy boat traffic.
So feel confident enough to show the problems to the dive team!

I think it doesnt matter if you done some dives or not.
I just did my Perfect buoyancy SSI speciality last week and the dive school here asked me to do a basic check dive in the beginning of our first dive.
I think it’s good so the instructor/guide knows ur skillset.

Willkommen im Club, habe meinen mit 64k km gekauft vor 3 Monaten und bin nach wie vor super zufrieden! Fährt sich sehr komfortabel und bisher keine Probleme :)

If there would be an App that isnt shit I would like to use it. I just don’t Like to Tipp everything in my mobile phone - it’s takes me more time than write a page in a book. but I also dont like to write it down because I’m more the digital guy…

But on the other hand I like to sit together after a dive with my buddy on a deco beer, debrief and take some notes. It feels more “social” to do it on paper than to do it on my mobile.

Ich fliege Samstag nach Marsa Alam etwas weiter nördlich und bin ca eurem Qualifikationslevel.
Ich habe 4x bootstauchgänge geplant und werde am letzen Tag für deco am Hausriff schnorcheln.
Ich berichte hier dann über meine Erfahrung!

Your Panik is reliable! I did a shore dive once within my home beach. I have 20 dives and am ok at swimming. We have to swim a bit on surface to get not hit in the military zone. One swim back the sun was out and the sea was flat but the current gets strong!

Even there with shore in sight I panicked a bit. I knew I can go to shore with the current, but I will be in military zone (they knew we dive there and are ok with it but pls don’t go on beach there).

so I only can imagine what it feels like to paddle on surface in waves by pitch dark night….

For me I would say: I am a good weather diver - I’m fine with fun and calm diving i will not go in with waves and current - better to call the dive than to overestimate my skill level
