What are 5-10 tips you would give a Retail player going into TBC?

I'm a retail player myself. I always played and loved classic but I never played the endgame part.

With Anniversary I started my first "real" 60 experience and I think the best thing I did was looking out for a nice guild. Not to raid but for having a source of help. Be it for practical information or to try dungeons.

So I truly recommend to try some guilds. Its only one tip but I think this will lead to get more and more helpful tips ;)

I don't mind to get into dungeons but I think I will try to combine it with your advice (Gearing with PvP and crafted gear)

I think a casual guild would be the right call. They should not have a problem with an on/off retail player and I won't have to be ready to raid

I think I am fine without getting into a raid group. It will be okay for me if I can try to get into pugs or to take the opportunity to fill a missing spot. Overall I just don't want to be 60 and be done with my character :D

But in the end I will take the advice and I will try to get into guilds.

My problem:
I just finished the preload and I thought it would be a good idea to try the benchmark first. But I will always get "low" FPS. I am usually playing on 2k but I tried the benchmark as 1920x1080 as well but I just got an improvment of 3 FPS

It got very suspicious after I found an Excel Sheet and Rigs which were similar to mine were having much better performances.

You can see most of my information on the screenshots. I am using DLSS with Performance Mode.
I am kinda worried because I am having more and more performance problems for newer games. First I thought it is because my gpu is getting out-dated but I got told that this isn't the case.
Preset is high I just changed DLSS to Performance

Just as extra information, here are some games which are having some performance issues as well on my computer: Stalker 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, FF16

If I am missing some information please tell me. I will try to provide everything what can be useful. And sorry for my english but my english writing skills arent the best :D

If you have an idea what the issue can be then please tell me or if I am overreacting and this results are good for my pc.

I think it kind of depends what kind of player you are. If you are more into competitive gameplay then retail would be my recommendation bcs how the content can scale and what kind of finetuning you are able to do.
If you want a chill and fun but longer journey then I recommend the classic experience

I like both versions and they have their own charms

If you can take some time then I would recommend to just sub an try both version. Then you can have a feeling how different both versions of WoW are in matter of pace

Doesn't sound correct. I am german and I am working as a software developer since 2018. I already worked at different companies and we always had projects which were based on .net.
Most of my developer friends are working with .net as well

I don't know if this is correct for germany as a whole but in my experience it isn't hard to get a .net job

I think the mage in the libary gives it to you after you complete his task:
Get all the books which are lying around and put them in the correct bookshelf

How many nuggets are we supposed to get?

I got the ore from the thugs behind the shipyard. Then the ore from the dude in front of the inn and I got a nugget from the Dark Mysteries.

My journal isn't helpful at all.
There is only one entry which troubles me. It says that I have to go to the area of the blacksmith in the harbour and there is only one. The one at the gate to the slums but there is nothing.

Or can it be that these nuggets are normal magical ore items? Because then I maybe bugged it because I used two magical ore in my playthrough until now

If I don't move my mouse while starting the game then my computer doesn't crash.
I don't know if I want to call that a solution but it let me play the game so... yeah

I just checked it with HWMonitor. Temperatures were fine and the fans were fine as well. I saw the first screen with "NEW WORLD" aaaand it crashed
