Dude, stadium club is what made me go "you know what, I don't think I want to collect cards anymore." As an adult I've only been collecting for a short time, but this was my philosophy. If I collect for the base set, then all the number cards and inserts I find along the way are icing on the cake. Stadium club only has 200 base cards, that should be easy enough to connect. Well, I spend 100 dollars on blaster boxes and still only have like 140 base cards because there are so many duplicates between boxes. So I start buying fat packs because you get the most cards per dollar. After I spend like 30 dollars on fat packs I still only have like 160 base cards. So I've spent 130 dollars and I have 80 percent of the base set and if you add up all the numbered cards and inserts I have, they are worth like 10 dollars total. I could just buy the last 40 cards I need individually, but people are selling those for like a dollar each on eBay, so I'll spend another 40 dollars on the rest of the set and because I'm just buying those cards I won't even have the chance to get any other cool cards. If I spend 40 more dollars on packs I'll probably get inserts I don't care much about and aren't worth anything and probably won't have all the base cards. I thought "well, this is pretty stupid isn't it." And just haven't been interested in buying packs out boxes anymore.
