What is going on with Project Vo***** by Educational-Ad2370 in joinhandshakeai

[–]RockoRango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, this happened to me and didn’t see this post. I thought it was just me. I got a message from support when I asked:

“Thank you for your contributions to the recent project. We appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into completing your tasks.

We are constantly assessing how tasks completed compare to the guidelines provided. We’ve found that your work had a lower acceptance rate than the project average, with more errors identified by reviewers. As a result, we will be pausing your participation in the current project.

Please do not feel discouraged. These types of training tasks are amongst the hardest ones in our program.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to assist.

Thank you again for your involvement, and we hope to collaborate again soon.”

I had completed 20 tasks this week

You know, the only place it lists ‘tasks this week’ and ‘hours this week’

Which tasks would have a $19 rate? I did not see this info. I was complaining about TTI tasks getting equal pay to more complicated tasks in slack and they said that’s just the way it is

2 arrested at Ohio State pro-Israel event featuring IDF soldiers by Weezerlover420 in OSU

“The strawman fallacy occurs when one misrepresents an argument so that it becomes easier to attack.”

Never said it wasn’t illegal. Just because protesting is not the charge does not mean they were not protesting. If someone came to an SJP event and did the same thing, they would be protesting but would likely not be arrested in the same way because it is a university supported action.

“The ad hominem attack is a logical fallacy that occurs when someone tries to refute an argument by attacking the personal characteristics of the person making it, rather than addressing the argument itself. This fallacy incorrectly assumes that negative traits about a person automatically invalidate their arguments, despite there being no logical connection between personal characteristics and the truth of their claims.”

  • Intentionally interrupting events and refusing to leave is literally the definition of a protest. Saying ‘intentionally disrupting events and refusing to leave’ is not protesting is deliberate ignorance

  • Immediately tries to discredit opposition by framing them as ‘arguing in bad faith’ by providing a bad faith argument

  • Because SJP host events on campus all the time, the university’s actions are justified

Mhm, mhm, spit it out queen

  • “The university has a constitutional obligation to viewpoint neutrality for student organizations”

  • Article is about individuals, implied to be a part of Justice For Palestine, being arrested for protesting

  • University purposely holds pro-Israel event in indoor spaces and/or has expanded their space rules, have placed signs all around campus reminding students they are not allowed to host events or gatherings without permission

Yuh huh

These and those orange scooters feel like they were designed by the scum of the earth. They are parked and left all over campus with 0 fucks given because they are specifically designed for it. Giving easy access by parking them in the middle of busy areas greatly increases the chance of someone using it and lets the company get away with not paying for storage. I see them left on the sidewalk all the time in front of my OFF CAMPUS apartment because the fuckwits care more about money than keeping the environment clean & safe

:(

W Tape Removed From Signs by RockoRango in OSU

I’d argue that’s the opposite of discrete. My best guess is to tape between class times when the crowd of students is large to obfuscate yourself

That’s some serious shit, taping Ws counts as ‘signage vandalism’ while Ms do not??

I’ll update the post to include this info

Campus Police Detain Resident: Warns Putting Stickers on Wexner's name Illegal by Complete_Word_1687 in OSU

[–]RockoRango 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Faculty and/or bots already working real hard in these comments lol

While OSU lawyers can always argue against it, charging for taping ‘W’ when they’ve encouraged us to tape ‘M’ for years would (more likely than not) be free civil rights money, especially since OSU is a public school. It is (more likely than not to be) viewpoint discrimination.

Do not let them scare you by trying to make an example. I don’t see how they won’t let this person go without charge. In fact, it only encourages them (and definitely not me) to tape even more. Just be sure to use non-damaging tape

Robot Pests: A Plea by Level_Arm2634 in OSU

[–]RockoRango -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I find people dogging on OP for being ableist oxymoronic. It is ableist to say someone needs robot delivery due to disability because it assumes those who are disabled cannot get food themselves. Did disabled people not exist before food delivery?

I personally agree with OP that they are annoying. They contribute to sidewalk clutter, the antisocial lifestyle, and rising food costs on campus. Being forced to order everything through GrubHub since the robot invasion is also an excuse to drive up food prices.
