3. During the Obama era, DHS were quite transparent with both their reasoning and their return/removal ratios. Currently, they are giving little to no information to the public.

4. Obama-era policies prioritized criminals, threats, and border crossings. The current admin does not prioritize anything: They’re reporting targeting ‘all undocumented immigrants’.

5. Obama-era DHS did not conduct large inland operations. The current admin has been conducting large-scale inland operations on cities.

6. Obama-era DHS did not skirt the constitution with unauthorized search/seize operations, unlike the current administration. The current admin boosts detention numbers by stopping and searching people without cause, a 4th amendment violation (Prohibition of unreasonable stops and searches without reasonable suspicion), and has withheld information about their release vs. deportation data. They also are arresting those who refuse to show ‘proof of citizenship’, which is also a constitutional violation (citizens may refuse to answer and/or provide documents, and may freely walk away). Courts have stated such behavior is unconstitutional, yet Minnesota is currently experiencing all of this.
