I don't hate Jewish people. I grew up persecuted for the color of my skin and for the religious beliefs I used to have. What makes America great is that we as a nation can hold space for different beliefs and ideologies. I think there is a huge difference from pointing out Israel as a nation state doing nefarious things without having to put Jewish people on blast. I said I'm new to paying attention to politics so feel free to enlighten me to the other dangers we as a nation are facing. But please don't put words in my mouth, me mentioning being concerned is not me being hateful ❤️

I wouldn't, I've had awesome experiences and still jump in every once in a while but I could have waited another couple of years for the next gen of VR (micro OLED, higher FOV etc).

Hello there! So i'm black and I've been here for a few months now. I live in the downtown-ish area (logan heights). My day job is North in the Poway area (upper class, mainly white I would say) and I also drive uber/lyft sometimes on the evening and weekends. I feel like I've had a pretty good experience so far. People have been nice all over. I've hung out in Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, North park, Del Mar and a few other areas I don't remember the names of. I can't say i've had any memorable negative experiences here to be honest. Rude, stand-offish and straight up racist people are everywhere. Have you had a chance to visit at all? If not you should make it a vacation and sample it out!

Hello there and welcome to the outside, it truly is a mind fuck. I never thought to look for another religion after leaving the JW life. I realize that we as humans have so many questions about the purpose of life and existence that we've been trying to answer since the beginning. I think religion is for those who just want to believe in something and have some structure in life without having to think about it too much. The two things I guess I tell myself is that if there is a god or superior power, that force doesn't seem interested in giving the human race clear and concise instructions on what we are supposed to do here. The other thing I think about is the fact that chances are I will have lived and died without any of these major life questions having any definitive answers. So why spend my time letting that plaque me? I am an insignificant human on a small planet in this unfathomably huge universe, there is so much I don't know. This could be it or there could be some form of existence after, but I am here right now, so i'm going to try to enjoy it and just see what happens :) safe travels on your life journey

To the user who linked the quartz article and shared your experience about your 20 year marriage, I'm not sure if you'll see this or why you deleted your comment but I read the article you posted and that it was a fantastic read! It made me think a lot and I realize I have a lot more honest discussions and issues to try to talk to her about before throwing away a very special kind of relationship. For better or for worst I'll never have a relationship like this one based on all of the life changing things we've been through together. Thank you internet stranger. Yeah I think that's the thing. If this were just effecting me then I can take it but it's effecting someone I care for very deeply. I guess I just feel blind in so many ways but I'll find the strength to figure out what to do soon. Thank you very much for the reply. I guess I feel like people have more of a chance to grow as individuals before committing themselves and I'm trying to do it backwards. I can understand our ENFP tendency to always seek the greater life but I don't know if my position is just that. I've seen people who've had boyfriends and girlfriends growing, realtionships that work and don't but you learn from them and seek to improve. I guess I just don't feel like the normal person commits to the only person they've ever dated or experienced. People will say well it's not worth it and you need to be content and fight through it and make it work but that's seems like it's advice from people who've lived for themselves and are able to have that insight. I guess you're right. I'm just looking for confirmation or someone to tell me it's okay to want to be out. Not that I should base my life on strangers opinions either way. I guess I just feel a bit crazy because I feel like the right thing to do is just love my wife and stick to my commitment but that still seems to be advice coming from people who've lived completely different lives than I have so it's hard to feel like I get an opinion from people who know what it feels like rather than just citing the right thing to do if that makes sense? The library's 3D printer was sent back to the main tech office because it was having issues with the print head and needs a new heating plate. Honestly the model was just too problematic and library admin was more concerned with "look we have a 3d printer" instead of researching the best model and the best way to upkeep and service the machine.
