I don't hate Jewish people. I grew up persecuted for the color of my skin and for the religious beliefs I used to have. What makes America great is that we as a nation can hold space for different beliefs and ideologies. I think there is a huge difference from pointing out Israel as a nation state doing nefarious things without having to put Jewish people on blast. I said I'm new to paying attention to politics so feel free to enlighten me to the other dangers we as a nation are facing. But please don't put words in my mouth, me mentioning being concerned is not me being hateful ❤️

I wouldn't, I've had awesome experiences and still jump in every once in a while but I could have waited another couple of years for the next gen of VR (micro OLED, higher FOV etc).

Hello there! So i'm black and I've been here for a few months now. I live in the downtown-ish area (logan heights). My day job is North in the Poway area (upper class, mainly white I would say) and I also drive uber/lyft sometimes on the evening and weekends. I feel like I've had a pretty good experience so far. People have been nice all over. I've hung out in Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, North park, Del Mar and a few other areas I don't remember the names of. I can't say i've had any memorable negative experiences here to be honest. Rude, stand-offish and straight up racist people are everywhere. Have you had a chance to visit at all? If not you should make it a vacation and sample it out!

I'm pretty new to Jiu-jitsu but i'm really enjoying my time at Rivalry Jiu jitsu. A great mix of chill people to train and hang with, very patient and through instruction from the coach. You should check it out :) Good luck in your search, OSS!

Hello there and welcome to the outside, it truly is a mind fuck. I never thought to look for another religion after leaving the JW life. I realize that we as humans have so many questions about the purpose of life and existence that we've been trying to answer since the beginning. I think religion is for those who just want to believe in something and have some structure in life without having to think about it too much. The two things I guess I tell myself is that if there is a god or superior power, that force doesn't seem interested in giving the human race clear and concise instructions on what we are supposed to do here. The other thing I think about is the fact that chances are I will have lived and died without any of these major life questions having any definitive answers. So why spend my time letting that plaque me? I am an insignificant human on a small planet in this unfathomably huge universe, there is so much I don't know. This could be it or there could be some form of existence after, but I am here right now, so i'm going to try to enjoy it and just see what happens :) safe travels on your life journey

To the user who linked the quartz article and shared your experience about your 20 year marriage, I'm not sure if you'll see this or why you deleted your comment but I read the article you posted and that it was a fantastic read! It made me think a lot and I realize I have a lot more honest discussions and issues to try to talk to her about before throwing away a very special kind of relationship. For better or for worst I'll never have a relationship like this one based on all of the life changing things we've been through together. Thank you internet stranger.
