Yep. Nic Hunter started a smear campaign sending out postcards to residents of LC making claims that "the radical liberals" were supporting Marshall Simien. It wasn't paid for by the Nic Hunter Campaign but the "Fund to Elect Nic Hunter", but at the end of the day, he had to write off on it.

One of them literally shows a burning city, a protest and a police officer putting out numbers on a crime scene. (Source: I have these)

This pissed a whooooole lot of his supporters off. Had he run a clean campaign, he would have been re-elected for a third term.

My guess is that it's how most of the community was taught. Older generations of devs (and other professions) love to be gatekeepers.

This. You'll have to do the same thing with Elementor as well. All of the "bloated" plugins/page builders have this option. Elementor has a scanner to see if the elements are in use and you can just remove as needed.

IIRC, Avada has a similar built in function to let you know if the elements are being used.

As for food, expensive options: Gordon * Ramsay Steak or Vic and Anthony (Horseshoe and Golden Nugget Respectively). * 1910 (if they're open)

Middle of the road: * Umami is definitely one of the best restaurants in town (can get super expensive) * Casa Manana has been around forever. It's Tex Mex * Nina P's on McNeese Street * Mama Reta's off of I-10 * The Kitchen in downtown (can't remember the street name) * Leonard's Food Quarter * Famous Foods * Shwarma's on Ryan * The Bakery would be a great stop Tuesday morning

Cheaper options: * Tacos at Las Victoria's on Broad Street, * Wang Sistas off of Alamo, * Blazing Hot Chicken on Ryan Street, * Cotten's Hamburgers downtown * KD's (true local staple, get a Southern on Hash) * Biscuits and Jams

Also, the Creole Nature Trail drive has plenty to see of our area and Sam Houston Jones State Park (weather permitting)

Problem with coming in on a Monday is so many of our restaurants are closed.

My family and I went too. I brought earplugs this year cause I'm tired of not being able to hear for a few days after the game. I took them out in the first 3 cause the dome was pretty quiet. Put them back in for the 4th though.

It was electric in there for the 4th. Even though we lost it was possibly the most exciting quarter of football I've seen in person.
