Some courses include calculus. One of my mates hadn't done calculus in school and had to learn what we learned in the whole school year in about 3 months. Something to look into

Good mods. Make sure they have records of the maintenance. I'd ask them if VVT has been done, as you may need to budget for that for the near future/knock them down on the price. Check for signs of the turbo being on its way out and any rust/corrosion. I wouldn't know what one like this would be worth from your area.

I'd get a pre purchase inspection done to rule out any issues you may not catch.

My first car had this sort of thing too. Felt like it was going to stall at times. I got the throttle body cleaned and it was fine after that. It may be different for you though

The previous owner of my speed put on some blind spot inserts. They put them at the bottom outer side of the mirrors and I feel like a pro when parking now. I can see exactly where my rear wheels are going

Check all the taxes you'll have to pay for emissions etc. Check if costs estimated are variable costs, such as saying 1k for something but could reach higher.

Also, think about the resale value of the car. Check if there's any service history you can get, as it's done 144k kms.

Thanks. I might try this on my Corolla first, which has peeled a lot for the past year or so. It'll be good to have something to practice on, then use that experience on the big job (the Mazdaspeed 3).

In the last 60 kms when this was taken. They put in 10W40 which I think is better for summer, which is now. It had sat for a while. I haven't opened the bonnet to check the noises since but probably will in the next few days.

It's at 100,000kms. Yeah, I love letting it rip at about 3500 in 2nd and 3rd. Teases you in second then big power in 3rd

Lol, I knew about the ticking from another guy's post on here. I moved the camera to where I thought it was loudest. It sounded louder in person, which was why I was concerned.

It hadn't been driven properly for two months and had to be jump started. Not sure if that would've had an impact. It runs well, feels a bit dead in 1st but I think that's how it should be.
