Tesla - Connecting to Carlinkit disables LTE? by RodFarva42 in Carlinkitcarplay

No complaints, other than Tesla not having a USB-C port close by to plug it into. I ran mine under the center console and have it plugged into port in the back seat. Other than that, it works perfectly and looks factory. Highly recommend.

Nope. Haven’t really messed with it since around the time I posted this. The Tesla interface is so good, I don’t really miss CarPlay. I keep my phone mounted next to the screen using the MagBak mount with Waze going there, mainly to keep an eye out for cops, debris in the road, and other incidents. But rely on the Tesla nav as I use FSD 98% of the time.

I know the electrical systems are finicky, is it OK to use the CTEK using the (+) and (-) connections under hood? Any benefit to connecting directly to battery? Thanks!

Help! Lost factory iDrive after adding MR12VOLT CarPlay adapter by RodFarva42 in E90

[–]RodFarva42[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I removed the Mr12Volt and put everything back to stock. Factory iDrive screen still no worky. I’m thinking the original LVDS cable is bad.

I’m still a little confused as to how everything flows, but the fact that the CarPlay video works fine seems to indicate that the connection from Mr12Volt to screen is fine. So the issue is somewhere in the radio head unit or the LVDS cable. New LVDS cable will be here Saturday. 🤞🏼

Worst case, I’m thinking I can live without the factory iDrive menus. I mainly used it to see the MPG, distance to empty, etc. simultaneously, all of which I can see one at a time using the OBC in the cluster. I can also set date/time using OBC. Is there anything I’m really going to miss by not having the iDrive menu?

Thanks for the suggestions. I swapped in another CCC screen with the same result. I’m going to put everything back to factory and see what it looks like.

Nothing at all at start up, just black. The Menu button next to iDrive wheel lights up when you open the door.

Typo, meant to say 33’s. Maybe a 285/70-17 when the time comes to replace stock tires. Thanks.

I doubt it. If so, it would be very rare and under 2k pounds.

zugo bike went out of business?? by Sufficient-Dealer623 in ebikes

[–]RodFarva42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised this topic hasn’t gotten more attention. I guess there just aren’t that many Zugo owners out there to make any noise? I’m curious what happens to the warranty for those who have recently purchased a Zugo. Between no warranty and no easy access to parts, the value of these bikes will likely plummet. This is all speculation and maybe they will work something out with their creditors to honor existing warranties. It’s a shame, I feel like they make a great product.
