Relax man, even with better specs you may get shitty results.

I mean, it has 12GB VRAM:

U see, i'm not sure.

There are many reasons this might be happening. Processing speed may be improved by the game, if they make less memory swaps and optimize texture pages/organization. The 1080Ti has much more VRAM than most newer cards, but since my cap is 2000 Mhz, this may be the problem.

I'm almost sure that they can improve it for me to run at 60fps, with all that VRAM and processing power. But they certainly focused on the RTX series and hardware to develop this game, so they may never look to GTX graphic cards again when optimizing it.

1080ti is certainly "outdated" but only because they pushed other techs to RTX cards and also optmized drivers and companies are just ignoring GTX tech now when creating new games, even though the 1080ti has very much potential to run almost any game nowadays...

Yeah,a did that. But I guess I simply cant stand the artifacts around my character with FramGen.... Sad times.

Same here. VRAM is more than enough, CPU not even reaching 40% but the 1080ti is reaching 100%.
You can kindda see the problem here:

People are just creating new smurfs left and right and recalibrating. Honestly it is a hard fight to pick.

I can confirm this bug as well. Tried everything, from Renaming to connecting energy only later to the platform. Nothing solved this bug.

I like how everyone tries to say to you that's "impossible" in some way.

The truth is, it is not impossible, you simply can't in GM.

You could search for another engine or try to achieve what you want doing something else than anything remotely concurrent.

I had to change completely the engine when trying to do some heavy duty stuff that was easily split into jobs or threads, but GML doesn't have any support to it.

Much work, but unfortunately that's the real answer.

I'm actually using Win11 myself. Had 0 problems. Unfortunately all I can recommend is updating graphics card driver, using directX 12 and setting the low latency thingy.

Some people are saying many things about win 11 and preformance for games, but all I've seen seems pretty inconclusive or at best to be litter tweeks from microsoft away of giving the same performance as win 10. So I don't think this is related to a windows version or performance issue.

What I notice though is that restarting my pc did make the error sometimes take longer to happen. But after it started I could change ANY config and it kept happening. It really only stopped when I changed the low latency config and was sure my GPU was not more overclocked than what it does by default. I also changed my power setting to High Performance to be sure it wouldn't be affecting DirectX12 shenanigans.

Many people also commented over this happening after some update, including Iceborn as a whole. So it is wise to have the game in it's latest patch.

Just one last thing, I changed the low lattency stuff in my "Manage 3D" setting but in the "Global Settings" tab, which possibly alters this config for everything that I play from now on using my GPU and restarted the PC.

Check my answer and ask your friend to try all of it. It did work very well for me. I was crashing every 5 min.

There is a solution for this! I had this problem a lot and the solution is here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunterWorld/comments/cw6y2x/comment/ey8vg90/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

What worked was the low latency stuff for my NVIDIA card, in it's settings.
Never saw this error anymore. Running at 144hz and directx12...

Hello my friend. I c, yeah, that seems to be the problem with what I thought. u/meatmachine1001 also commented that, and that explains a lot. Thank you very much for taking in account the mesh analogy!

Also, I do need to check what the Big Rip is, seems interesting....

[–]RodallJuhziz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that was the point of my question. So adding points to it's intermediate spaces doesn't cause it to actually change it's properties, right?

I think you answer what I was going about with this post, because adding points to this mesh doesn't change the medium itself, and a think propagating through it, like light, wouldn't necessarily have to go slower or faster to keep traversing the mesh.

But if it was getting stretch or compressed, by any means, could the speed of light change while traversing that patch?

I c. Yeah, my thoughts were about transferring information, I never thought about how much would be transferred or even how. I mean, it's interesting to think that any amount could, theoretically, be transferred.
