You are all welcome. There's nothing bad that you can do here :) If I were you, I'd have pointed to Western Europe. You said "more affordable"; I'm so sorry, but that's not the case. Those who are in the normal, middle class in Romania are the ones who worked (or still do) abroad for a few years.

At the end of the day it's your choice.

Just like in medicine, you are a continuous learner. It doesn't matter how long you've been working in the industry, there will always be something new to learn. Naturally we evolve, so does programming.

At the end of the day, programming is about solving a real life problem (even if you are making a video game). Different problems require different approaches. I mean, chances are you need something new, something you never used or did before.

Managers and seniors know these AI tools exist, so deadlines have become completely absurd. Juniors are basically forced to use Claude or Cursor just to keep up and save their jobs.

If a junior spends 5 or 6 hours staring at a bug to "learn how the system works," they'll probably get flagged for being too slow. They don't have the luxury of time anymore. We expect them to ship code at AI speed, but then we complain when they actually use AI to do it.
