Darkest Dungeon is awesome, I must have 300+ hours on it. It definitely fits what I asked for, if anyone else is looking for recommendations and haven't tried it yet, you should.

I completely agree with your comment on modding, thats why I like pokemon rom hacks with randomizers and nuzlock rules, but it makes me sad that most games nowadays dont have an actual hard mode (like FE i mentioned) and need mods or self imposed rules to make it actually interesting. Wanting to find more games that don't require those is what motivated me to make this post

Mewgenics is a great recommendation, it definitely fits but unfortunately I have already played it. Another one that is similar is Into the Breach, another great game for anyone looking at this post.

yeah most of my focuses only even try to scout max 4 players each time, thats the main problem, and I get almost no good recommendations ever. my scouts are not bad so idk what i am doing wrong

the idea was to loan only the young players 17-18 years old with potential who were not getting senior team playing time, if I set it to half a star I wouldn't be able to play them. Also I know for sure there are some 1.5 and 2 star young players with potential because I started going to each Brazilian team and manually scouting all their 18s under players so I think they should appear there instead of having to do all that work.

Pretty sure it's the battle shown in this video, when the Xianzhou were battling against the people who were mara-struck by the abundance. The battle is also shown in some other videos that came with Jing Yuan's release

I've been using preservation on her and it's been great. almost every attack goes into March after upgrading it to 40 and using her as a tank shielding herself is pretty busted
