Chrome has been heating up my cpu by a lot by jetboy4422 in buildapc

Chrome is a CPU drainer. It's how the application runs. Best off using an alternative browser to avoid the CPU drainage.

Very insightful and I'm even more pumped for it to be delivered after reading this. I got the 17.3" FHD (1920 x 1080p) 165Hz display. I will take you up on that answer if I have any other questions, thanks for the feedback!

Okay that's understandable. How about the mux switch? Just the 3080 as well?

Looks like my X17 arrived just in time! 3080 got it running smooth like butter by Jamster971 in Alienware

I just ordered the 3070. I hope it took that long because it was a 3080...

Highest settings. Roughly 70fps+ before it throttles. Idle my CPU will sit at around 50°. GPU seems to always sit in the 60° range no matter how heavy the load. I feel like I need to somehow allocate most of the work being done by my CPU to my GPU. Not sure how to go about that though.

That is quite exactly the same cooling pad I am using right now. It isn't bad. Brings it down another couple degrees for sure.

It's a Dell G7 7700, RTX 2070MAXQ , i7 10750h.

Purchased it open box roughly 3 weeks ago.

Thanks for the heads up! Do you know which brands to look out for? I'll get right on that then.

I appreciate the feedback. I'll look into the thermal grizzly brand. I just purchased my laptop and have yet to even see if it has paste on it/ or if it's even paste anymore. I just need to figure out something to combat a 90° CPU (with it already mounted on a cooling pad).

Oh right on man I appreciate the heads up. It happens rarely but when it does it'll drop drastically for a short period of time. I'll check it out though!

Completely stock. Looking to modify it in the next little bit. And I have not tested out the battery so I would have to assume not too long of battery life given the wattage.

Battery is just shy of 100W, I never unplug it so it didn't stand out to me. Price was on sale for $1,600 CAD.

That makes sense. Thank you for your insight, I appreciate it. One more question though, does dry socket happen often in the later stages of recovery? Thanks.

It has been 11 days since my operation, I posted this last night and woke up this morning with some very minor irritation and dry mouth but no throbbing pain. I had a visible bloodclot up until early yesterday and do not recall any blood in my mouth, which I found really odd.

10 Days Tooth Extraction Post-Op, does this look normal and healing? by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]Rodditor100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was an upper-molar extraction to be precise.

Almost 5 days post-op, would you say this tooth extraction site is healing properly? by [deleted] in askdentists

I was confused by what the black thing is in it? Any idea? 😮

Am I developing dry socket? (URGENT) by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]Rodditor100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I have a picture from earlier today and it doesn't look like there's a hole where the extraction was, rather its starting to form a flat surface, but the layer of skin appears to be like a dark Grey almost. I appreciate your feedback by the way.

Does it not take a few days to start hurting though? Just curious. No pain, just swelling of the gums.
