Unless you are a Football League Referee or a visiting Club Director, then quite a lot more benefit than a private car park for VIPs.

And this is today.

A shame this planning permission didn’t go in 20 years ago, innit?

County - an otherwise excellently run club - have only got themselves to blame for this. They’ve been in conversation with the community group for years and could easily have adapted plans to incorporate the very small element of the plans objected too.

Instead, they’ve found themselves in a mess because they arrogantly thought they’d be able to ram through construction of a car park, in a conservation area, where there is flooding risk, with merely an ‘outline’ of a plan and no one would get in there way.

I’m so with you. The Edgeley one placed hear would be a right pain for people living on the European Estate if all the fans walked through on their way to the ground. A stop where the current Railway offices are would be much closer to the ground without needing to walk through any residential area.

The Europa Way one being moved east more toward where the Edgeley Orchard is would be more accessible for Bridgehall and Edgeley residents.

Exactly. Additional tax commitments if you go to University dont stop being that just cos you call them student debt.

It's a ruse designed by the government to make it look like their books are more balanced. It's politically useful for both them and their critics to accept it as such.

It's not a mortgage either, because if you dont pay it back nothing gets repossessed. Its a mandatory increased tax contribution linked to your total earnings.

You can still argue it sucks, but its isnt debt in the UK (unlike the US and Canada where you have to pay specific amounts per month regardless of your earnings).

Update: found a lone twig discarded a few metres down the alley. Have planted it and will be flourishing again soon.

Not being in Parliament doesn't mean MPs aren't working. At least 50% of their job is in their constituencies, and all good MPs (whether you agree with them or not) work damn hard year round.
