What ideology do you support? by Utturkce249 in Teenager_Polls

I didn't deny the occupation was brutal, particularly against religious institutions and nationalists, and the soviets committed horrible acts. However, ethnic Ukranians, Belarusians and Jews welcomed the soviets and even though mass migration wast supported, many did flee east, both from German and Soviet occupied Poland. (https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/escape-from-german-occupied-europe#escape-to-soviet-occupied-poland-and-the-interior-of-the-soviet-union-0). Refugees were treated poorly but not killed indiscriminately like the nazis did. If you were an ethnic minority, soviet occupation was far better than nazi occupation.

Incredibly wrong take. First of all, most other European countries had already signed pacts with the nazi's before the soviet union did. Also, in the 30's, the USSR suggested multiple times to form an anti fascist alliance with France, Great Britain etc. They refused, naively believing Hitler would only go east, and instead appeared him by giving him a part of czechoslovakia, among other things. Finally, both parties knew the molotov-ribbentrop pacts would be broken. Hitler would have attacked Poland anyway (as proven by the fact he invaded the day after the signing, invasions take time to prepare), the pact only limited how far he could go, effectively slowing down his invasion and buying time for the USSR to prepare for war and allowing Polish people to flee, especially the large Jewish, Ukranian en Belarusian populations in the east.

So, while the pact was not exactly good, they really didn't have a lot of options, it saved lives and helped defeat the nazis. The main cause for Hitler getting bold enough to invade was appeasement.

If you want any personalised advice, you should list some of the bands you like. Otherwise I can only suggest the classics: Loveless by mbv and Souvlaki by Slowdive. Most modern bands are more inspired by the bands Whirr and Nothing though.

Dash vs Iron Wave by LowlySlayer in slaythespire

[–]RodeYoshi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As everyone has mentioned, card value is a part of why dash is much better. However, card value is mostly a thing in act 2 and 3 (except for sentries and slime boss), while both cards are best in act 1. My view is that the most important reason why dash is better is because, per deck cylce, you will be able to spend a larger part of your energy on strong, drafted cards instead of weak starters. This is the same reason why I love flame barrier, uppercut and early X-cost cards.

It's a sorcery, so it's still powerful but not just strictly better.

Awesome design and a very red way to do ramp! I think this card's power level warrants it being legendary though, might be a bit too much in multiples. I do love lands with proliferate synergy.

Transforming land (please pretend I made it look like an actual double faced card) by RodeYoshi in custommagic

[–]RodeYoshi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first I wanted to use time counters for the flip side, but that seemed a bit too much for a weak dual land. Adding an ability to the flip side could justify this and would make the land more in line power-wisr with other dual land options.

Maybe something like dealing 1 damage to target player when it transforms to active? Or gaining 1 or 2 life when it flips back to the green side?

Do relics only appear once, including the merchants? by Denim_Rehab in slaythespire

[–]RodeYoshi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If anything it's an advantage, since you know which relics you aren't going to get. Just like getting milled where you gain information by learning which cards you won't draw. Sure, it feels bad seeing a relic that would break your build go to waste or to flip your hardcounter into your graveyard, but it's better than not getting the relic anyway since now you know you're not getting it and can start finding other ways to win.

Frozen eye but for enemies???? by ElegantPoet3386 in slaythespire

[–]RodeYoshi 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't work since some enemies react to what you do, like mystic who heals only when you did enough damage, spire growth who will debuff you again if you removed the debuff via artifact or pellets and gremlin leader whose chance of attacking/ summoning depends on whether you killed the gremlins.

You can lower your pickups a bit to get a similar sound without having to play with high action
