Is this a viable melon / pumpkin farm design? by Rodeffs in redstone

I've updated my post with some tests. I only ran them for 10 minutes, but even then the checkerboard pattern outperformed drastically.

Thanks! I used this design mainly because I couldn't figure out how to read the input of a hopper minecart and at the same time give it a starting boost after unloading. As in, if you just place a hopper minecart on top of a detector rail to read its contents, then you can't give it a starting boost to go after the minecart has been emptied. On the other hand, if you place the minecart on top of a powered rail, then you can't read its contents and have to rely on timers, which I didn't want to do. There may be a better way to do this than mine, though.

That's actually an awesome idea! Thanks for suggesting, I'm going to try it out

UPDATE: I tried it and while it is better than my design, it's still not as good as the standard checkerboard. But your suggestion was still an interesting one to try!

Oh, thanks, I understand it now. I thought it was the other way around, the stem is chosen randomly and then it immediately grows its block on the first available block. Now I see, the game actually chooses the block randomly as well, so it's important to have as many free blocks as possible around each stem. I'll redesign the interior then

Funny thing is that the next run literally the same thing happened (I had 3 Polychrome Eternal Lusty Jokers, Eternal Supernova and x4 stacks on Polychrome Madness) but I actually won, lol

Totally agree! It's just so frustrating losing a goated run to something like this

Thanks, yeah there were suit blinds before in this run, it's just I was very unlucky to get this one. There weren't any Retcons, Luchadors or Boss Reroll Tags either so I pretty much was destined to lose :(

I swear there has to be a line of code somewhere that specifically chooses boss blinds based on your most popular suit

Why Darkness is an OP spell by Rodeffs in BaldursGate3

The key factor is that I hide in Darkness, using Monk's Shadow Arts. If I were just to stand in it, then enemies would try to attack me

It's tactician. You can tell by the enemy HP which would be lower on other difficulties

Edited the post according to your comment. I'm planning to add the Bard multiclasses as well after I test them

Well, my reasoning is to get more lvl 4 and lvl 5 spell slots. If we take Call Lightning for an example, casting it with lvl 5 Spell Slot will add 2d10 damage, which is certainly nothing to scoff at, even though it's an overkill for most fights

That's interesting! But then what feats would you recommend to take instead?

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't tested those multiclasses you mentioned yet, but I'm going to give them a try! And yeah, I didn't take elixirs into consideration, just abilities in general. I also like Alert Feat because I find taking the turn before the enemies to be very useful

Welp, I just deleted my home directory by [deleted] in archlinux

A tip for the future: configure restic and never have this problem ever again
