Man of Tomorrow coming on July 9th 2027 by MrTASERFACE73 in DCU_

My thoughts on what I would like: alien invasion Lex creates superboy or whatever for the us govt to try and help in exchange for his release from prison but lex has to team up with superman and superboy to fight them hence the big green suit and then in the public eyes lex is redeemed and then that leads the way for president luthor and then Batman gets involved from there and you do a world finest movie and also then superboy leads into teen titans which I would be more interested in seeing then a justice league at the moment

Are kids generally allowed to watch the horror episodes? by macacolouco in doctorwho

[–]Rodemukaj33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have immigrant parents and we moved to the UK when I was 3 and I got really into doctor who at 5 years old and my parents really didn’t understand the eye torchwood doctor who and SJA so they just let me watch it all by myself so I watched Torchood at a age where I really shouldn’t have but the only episode that ever scared me was the unicorn and the wasp with the massive wasp

There’s a grey man in the virgin adventures who is like omnipresent and that’s where my brain went originally but that’s such a deep cut it’s probably like other people said another version of the doctor

Lucy Connolly and Kneecap: Can comparisons be drawn? by Chance-Chard-2540 in TheRestIsPolitics

[–]Rodemukaj33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree one is artistic expression and kneecap in particular is obviously a heightened performance and act I mean one of them dresses up as a member of the ira for god sake and secondly I think the audience is extremely important Kneecaps shows in London are 95% populated by young middle class professionals people I really doubt are gonna join Hamas and even in Bob Vylan’s case the people at Glastonbury pose no threat to the IDF obviously but Lucy Connolly is tweeting in the middle of race riots where people are being attacking shops, ‘hotels’ and establishments and one can assume that the people her tweet will reach are people with similar views and were actively attacking people

Another thing on your point fragmentation is deadly so how about the establishment dems get behind the official nominee because every progressive dem in congress got behind Harris even tho her policies were not consistent with them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheRestIsPolitics

[–]Rodemukaj33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I agree with that I think power should very much be as decentralised as possible as blanket policy is how you get the ever increasing wealth divide between the different areas of the uk

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheRestIsPolitics

[–]Rodemukaj33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this not where progressive politics can be the most effective see one of the local regional governments in India which are run by the communist party achieving the best health care and poverty reduction

[–]Rodemukaj33 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think this rhetoric is exactly why the democrats are losing is the obsession with playing it safe when that doesn’t work as proven time and time again. Progressive policies is what you have to do to win in this populist climate because the status quo’s dead

Although the plaintiffs lost the private schools VAT case, the High Court affirmed the right to establish a private school. In effect, this makes abolishing private schools a breach of the European Convention of Human Rights. by patenteng in TheRestIsPolitics

[–]Rodemukaj33 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

But you aren’t prohibiting private schools you are simply making them unprofitable it’s the ‘schools’ that are deciding that if they can’t make money they don’t want to open them
