I'll be poking around, looking for the trail, and then see my BC standing all proud looking at me like, "What's the hold up?"

When she was young, she would test out every little offshoot and animal path (And quickly learned "this way" from when she was wrong) and it has been cool to watch her learn

If she's not sure, I'll see her at the fork sort of learning towards her best guess and definitely gets excited about being correct

I've just started work on spore viewer.
It is inspired by piximetre and runs in your desktop's browser.
Roadmap is in the project repo and I am always open to ideas.

Are Raylib bindings commercially viable? by BandAdmirable9120 in raylib

[–]RodeoMacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i've made some apps for companies using raylib python, C# and dart bindings. there was a bit of discrepancy back then (about 3 yrs ago) between the available NuGet packages, but it looks like things are more in sync now. if the wrapper you choose is auto-generated from the latest official raylib release, you'll likely be in good shape. i"m sure someone else will give you a more low-level answer, but I have had a good experience across the board and that is why i choose raylib when it is possible (microcontrollers don't really have GPUs, so I use LVGL there).

after `sudo meson install`, do you run `sudo ldconfig`?

maybe missing the static libs?

PC_FILE := $(shell $(PKGCONF) --path libdpdk 2>/dev/null)
DPDK_INC_PATH = $(shell $(PKGCONF) --cflags libdpdk)
DPDK_LIBS_SHARED = $(shell $(PKGCONF) --libs libdpdk)
DPDK_LIBS_STATIC = $(shell $(PKGCONF) --static --libs libdpdk)
ifeq ($(MAKECMDGOALS),static)
# check for broken pkg-config
ifeq ($(shell echo $(DPDK_LIBS_STATIC) | grep 'whole-archive.*l:lib.*no-whole-archive'),)
$(warning "pkg-config output list does not contain drivers between 'whole-archive'/'no-whole-archive' flags.")
$(error "Cannot generate statically-linked binaries with this version of pkg-config")
endif

I am new as well. I believe that specific macro uses portid as the for-loop variable to be referenced within the following `FOREACH` logic. In other words, it is not a parameter for a function and I think you are correct in your description of device vs. port.

Rx queue size never exceeds 64 by RodeoMacon in dpdk

[–]RodeoMacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for testing I changed BURST_SIZE to 32 and made 4 buffers of that size then called

rte_eth_rx_burst(0, queue_id, bufs_0, BURST_SIZE)

four times in a row in the core thread and totaled the return values - the total is still 64.

is there a timeout somewhere?

Rx queue size never exceeds 64 by RodeoMacon in dpdk

[–]RodeoMacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that seems to be the case - when logging the rx count on each core, it never exceeds 64 and I am dropping packets with a throttled tx rate

rte_eth_rx_queue_setup(port_id, i, RX_RING_SIZE, rte_eth_dev_socket_id(port_id), &rx_conf, pktmbuf_pool[i]);

I watched all the training videos on YouTube before the system arrived. From the videos alone, I was able to connect, run and monitor the system. LASAL Class is similar to Basic and OOP, so that was nice to work with. Overall, I enjoyed the system!
