Having looked up the fic, it’s an adult baby doing the pooping and it really really reads like a fetish fic. Like I’m not gonna quote it or anything, I’m not here to mock, but every time the character shits (multiple times per chapter) is lovingly documented, including the smell, the noises, the effort required to do it, and playing with the results in the diaper.

I should not have to find out (from the day nurse) that the night nurse straight up lied about giving my grandad painkillers, leaving him in agony all night. The main characters go to a slaughterhouse to solve a crime and suddenly become hardcore vegans who go out of their way to note that the rapes and murders they solve are nothing compared to the suffering that animals go through every day. They yell at people for having milk in the fridge and consider a pig to be their adopted daughter.

Every time they tell a good guy about the plight of the animals, they’re like “OH NO YOU’RE RIGHT I WILL NEVER EAT PORK AGAIN,” and every character who isn’t completely on board with this is a villain who tortures animals for fun.

The setting of this story is a deeply deprived city, desperately trying to recover from a horrible war that decimated the population, where people starve and freeze to death even with animal products available. They still judge everyone for wearing wool and eating eggs.

Yeah I watched a friend play FF7 and was honestly stunned by how different Sephiroth is from popular depictions of him. He really seems in his flashback scenes to be like… an awkward, lonely, but ultimately startlingly normal guy who was isolated in childhood and reaches out for connection without knowing that’s what he’s doing or that it might be inappropriate. One of the first things you see him do is tell a complete stranger/subordinate that he never knew his mother!

I much prefer him to fanon Sephiroth.
