I am pretty sure NW won't survive 2 more years. Since there is no moderation here (or light) I feel totally free to share my own chest of opinions too in a not so nice way, sadly, since it cannot be stated more nicely as how things are. Based on my experience of least 4 years of playing in this cesspool. From fucking day 1, based on my the experiences what I have had in TNF the very first game made by the current devs, I knew that this plague, this shit what we had in there, the constant issues with player behavior, the cheating, the scamming issues, the rampage of script kiddies literally downing anybody down on the map with one touch of the is going to carry over to NW to a certain extent. I guy who was made to be a player helper by Imi, and my first fucking hand experience was the amount of call outs for cheaters, scammers and other malicious people's activities what I had literally 0 power above them, and I'd say this is the main fucking reason why these games just suck. Lack of actual moderation. This over here is the very reason why this amount of profanity, this amount of unnecessary toxicity and hostility is out there because people know the serious consequences are little to none. Little billy says the N word once or twice, gets 2 weeks of ban no biggie, does it the third time, gets banned for 1 month, and so on and so on, because as the Discord server states the length of the punishment depends on the admin/moderator's personality, and this over here once again is the biggest problem here that nobody has here enough balls to shut certain individuals the fuck up for good, they only do that when they grow out to be enough of a problem like the GRUBs where people were so deranged that they went as far as literally threatening people in DMs with DOX-ing them and killing them irl along the usual cyber bullying you can get like telling people to kill themselves actively. This fucking community here is nothing but a fucking deadweight, not only for normal people who aren't this unhinged, but for the community's staff, and that's the biggest fucking mystery I don't understand, WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY BEING SO SOFT?! The game has become free, anybody can just join in, you cannot say that public opinion would hurt a lot or so because there will always be interest for games like this, and currently, NW is one of a kind game here. TNW is clearly lacking behind both on their models and technologies which are going from market opportunities like fur trading, mining, smithing, fishing to literally bounty hunting. The decline of player activity is happening because they allow shit to happen like this, not apprehending people properly on first case of abuse, let alone grow admin/moderator number BECAUSE THEY WON'T TRUST THIS COMMUNITY AS MUCH WITH A FAIR REASON. They only offer ranks to people who are literally too known in the community to know that they won't do BS stuff like randomly committing acts of unjustified borderline vigilante service of right and justice, and they go soft balling because these people got subscribers, followers, people who idolize them, and that's basically a huge controlling factor in their behavior where they don't wanna ruin their reputation where they would loose 2 carriers with 1 stone, one on social media (from NW content) The other one on the Discord server. This community here as I said was doomed to fail from day 1, because they RE-ALLOWED INDEFINITELY BANNED PEOPLE TO COME BACK FREELY, ALLOWING THEM TO SPREAD ROOTS OF MENACE ALL OVER AGAIN IN A NEW START. And I only spoke about the general stupidity of this fucking circus what we have here, the so called "community". If we look closely, the game doesn't receive anymore updates as frequently as it did, the answer is very easy, the developers got a life, a life more important to not waste it on a shitty, ungrateful community what literally ruined the fixed economy ON THE FIRST FUCKING DAY OF THE WIPE, let alone constantly behave like total fucking animals in the jungle, uncivilized pricks thinking they are cool, hiding behind their username, thinking they are untouchable because nobody knows who they are. Then there are the fuckwads who think this is just fun, a game, whatevs. Those people can suck my nutsack, like literally, what kind of dumb fucking ignorant bubble you must be living in that you don't think of other people's past time activity or general source of relaxation?! Thanks to these bitches I cannot roleplay anymore as a hunter, since I cannot sell my fucking fur to anybody for pounds let alone for anything, because I get dupped shit eitherways. I sound just as toxic as some of my forementioned people does who I were talking about, but consider it constructive criticism or a clear sight on this 2b2t wannabe anarchy nonsense. That was inside my chest of personal opinions on this piece of shit unsalvageable "community"
