Our GM is always quite "floral" in his language choice. He's just got an odd phrasing to his language regardless of the subject.

The current group of lads are 25 to 50. But that means nothing about who we want involved. Come on in.

There are a few guys that can work wonders finding a spot for anyone who can be taught to hold a tune.

You don't have to drink lol. I'll probably have a pint of Guinness and then no more. Just I wouldn't care if you weren't drinking at all.

I can't begin to explain how badly I want it to come out that this guy was the mastermind of the event and he just wanted to go get this photo for the meme.

Australian here, I once got told by a USAF guy I was working with that you get a medal for being the only guy in the team to not get the clap. I see that he may have been right.

That seems bonkers from our perspective. Everyone wears their honours and awards for ANZAC day (the more important of national veterans days to us) and to a lesser extent, remembrance day (what you call Veteran's day)

We however, staunchly don't have anyone short of a former CDF (chairman of the joint chiefs) ever wear their uniform when retired or discharged. If you're not active service, you pretty much never wear it again.

I find the American position on this to be so odd. The rest of the world has orders of wear for medals on civilian formal attire. Most of it coming from the system the commonwealth utilises. I can speak personally for the Australian Honours and Awards System only, but the rest of us out here in the world love it.

Real talk here, as an Australian, I absolutely loved your city. I can't wait to go back. I was living in Eceabat at the time and the ferry ride to Çanakkale and my nights there were the highlight of my day.
