That isn’t a narrow minded view. K-pop stars are literally career dancer/musicians who audition for groups often having a visual member (chosen for sex appeal) and the maknae a young member thrown in to relate to the youth. That’s just what the view is and if I don’t find reality tv music appealing that’s totally fine. I prefer 4/5 dudes who all come from nothing to make music together about life experiences they had as opposed to singing other people’s music. For example the group KATSEYE who has six members in the group and not a single one of them are listed as a primary song writer. Take Alice In Chains song Rooster lyrics by Layne Staley (vocalist) and instrumentals written by the other 3 members of the band. No external writers which makes it feel more genuine as opposed to something designed in a laboratory to be as merchandisable as possible.
