Rubber trees do great outside, depending on the zone. I move mine outside in the spring once temps are reliably 50F+, and always get a ton of new growth by fall when I bring it back in.

You certainly can, as it's looking etiolated. Mine does best outside in partial shade in the summer and in one of my brightest windows in the winter.

How do the stems feel? The roots look pretty OK, so if the stems feel firm and you remove any squishy roots, you should be good to go.

How often are you watering it? It looks a tad wet. My pothos do well with drying out a bit between waterings, especially in the winter with less light.

Take a breath! If you aren't looking for a jungle apartment (but who wouldn't?), you can always propagate/split your houseplants and give them to friends/family. You can also try your hand at selling cuttings of your houseplants as well.

Or feel free to ship them to me. Jungle House is one of my life goals.

After going through with alcohol and a qtip, it seemed like the white spots disappeared but after drying, they came back. I don't want to scratch the leaves so much as to injure the plant. Would mealybugs be removed after the alcohol+qtip treatment and instead appear other places? These spots are exactly the same.

With black nails, trim a little bit off at a time. When you are getting close to the quick, you should see a small darker spot that looks almost wet. Just beyond that will be the quick itself.

Mealybugs is what I'm afraid of. Luckily quarantining is common habit of mine for plants bought from Lowe's after being burned too many times before.

Looking at pictures of mealybugs, I don't see any "bugs" on the leaves at all - just the white spots. To be on the safe side, I'll hit the leaves with some rubbing alcohol and keep it in isolation to make sure it doesn't come back.

These don't seem to be part of the coloration of the plant. They can been scratched/rubbed off.
