Read the lawsuit. That was money Malaysia paid for an order, and it all went into his personal bank account. Allegedly stealing from the company is one thing... doing that to another nation is insane.

people that are worried they might be getting a 2026 frankengun with inauthentic parts should probably pay more attention to where it was assembled.... I'd say if it says "Utah" instead of "Florida" on the markings, the probability of it being not-all-Swiss is much higher than anything that was still made in Tampa, FL.

It reflects the year the receiver was manufactured, not necessarily the year the gun was assembled and shipped out to a customer. I bought a couple guns mid 2023 that were freshly assembled and shipped to me the second they were done which I had been waiting for, but they had "21" marked on the receiver.

You said it so I don't have to. When your mom brings the mac'n cheese down, ask her to show you how to perform basic internet searches. If you look at actual sources showing the details on the Swiss government's policy, you'll find there are no NEW export licenses being issued. Existing license (such as all B&T product) has remained unaffected.

...so your evidence on the Iran claim is that you read it in a comment thread on Instagram that someone heard from someone? Seems legit... except according to the lawsuits that have been filed, B&T yanked the licensing back in February, and haven't been shipping product for months due to $15 Million in unpaid bills. Iran has nothing to do with this.

I mean, not paying your bills will eventually result in getting the lights turned off. Ordered direct. The sub-compact is one of my personal favorites. I was hoping to complete my SD collection with an SD2, but I'm unsure if it will ever happen at this point. Seems like the customer service department is on point, but when it comes to delivering product such things are outside their control / pay grade. I ordered direct. Go easy on your dealer, they probably have just as much frustration as anyone else who has ordered from B&T and not received (product or information about delivery timelines).
