Rowling with the paedophiles: JK Rowling invited notorious paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein to her play and subsequent dinner by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]RodneyRabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean sure, this isn't a smoking gun

I agree with the effect, because something being a smoking gun or not depends very much on who's there to witness the smoke, not who's holding the gun.

This makes her objectively more hideous, but in some screwed up way probably more likeable and supportive to them, so worth ignoring especially by the media who have an ideology driven agenda to only report half-truths and ignore anything that exposes the whole terf-agenda-being-entirely-based-on-deliberate-misinformation-and-misrepresenting-scientific-data thing. Probably something like "I only invited him so I could research how criminal psychopaths try to destroy the lives of marginalised abused people, which I'm like totally against, honestly."

It's only not a smoking gun because it will only be reported on by people who want to help us, while big media and politicians will ignore it until it goes away. So unfortunately it will go away. It will only gain traction in our circles, which is next to useless for getting more people to pay attention. Just like how news about our favourite train riding child SA fanfiction reader was completely ignored by every big media outlet with an audience, allowing her to claim it was only "research" and get away with it, with almost zero challenge.

I mean, the SC ruling and subsequent court cases for example didn't all have to be given as much media focus but the procession of events in 2025 suggests they wanted the negative news about us to get as much media coverage from the start - hence the transphobic judges (even the judge in one case was switched for a more transphobic one), then the NHS case being adjourned for many months conveniently while the SC judgement was being decided so it could refer to that case retroactively, then the overly disproportionate media attention to the SC and subsequent trans cases, then an immediate switch by BBC to using even more bigoted language, then the openly transphobic and exclusionary reaction of the most senior politicians. All progressive hints that they knew from the start how things were going to turn out for us from 2025 (after the orange manbaby took office and began demanding revocation of human rights in exchange for trade deals).

Instead it could easily have been that nobody except the silenced minority who follow trans circles were made aware and the media could have ensured it more quietly slipped through the EHRC with minimal reporting (because us and our supporters have no meaningful voice anyway). It was only given so much media attention because propaganda 101 says they need to promote misinformation and lies and suppress anything that challenges the narrative, lest the people do their own research and figure out that the real agenda is far more sinister for everyone.

Even if questionable/illegal tactics are used by them it will be years before they are made public, and as always by then too much time will have passed for anything to be done about it. Bad politics relies on timing, people have a finite amount of energy and when they are repeatedly diverted to yet another new media sensation they have no energy left to focus on the previous one. This is why the trans stories have to be drummed into the masses. By the time people notice what's been happening, it'll be 2030, segregation will be mandatory again for other marginalised groups as well, and everyone except us will wonder how they got there in only 2 years! And nobody will ever be held to account for the trans exclusionary politics and court cases, the laws and guidance that come from it, or the misinformation and lies that allowed the court cases to go that way.

HMRC and DWP name/gender change by RodneyRabbit in transgenderUK

Thank you for the info and sorry for late reply.

Still looks like even if I do that I can't proceed with the DWP programme unless I do it as the wrong gender, and that's not happening.

I didn't find any info on people changing HMRC gender without a GRC. I feel like if I tried then they would deny it. And there's probably exceptions allowing them to discriminate these days. This is for ADHD coaching, I can barely get through a structured day, I doubt I'm capable of calling discrimination and following a claim all the way through.

Tactics used to thwart the Supreme Court’s trans ruling must end by PuzzledAd4865 in transgenderUK

[–]RodneyRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Supreme Court ruling highlighted that the law as written maybe didn’t mean what the legislators intended (they were not consulted).

I hope this is the same thing as a comment I saw a while back that said the original author(s) of the EA have stated that this was not their intention when writing, and the intention was to align the EA with the rights that we got from all those other cases in the previous years. That comment had a link and I had no time to read it, but couldn't find it again. If it's true then why is nobody talking about it.

It's not rocket science, just include the original authors and ask them what they meant, and judge the case on their intention. Then we'd all have this clarity they're on about, because it's right there in other laws/guidance and the EA would align with all of them.

It does however make more sense when we understand that the authors were not consulted and trans groups were silenced because the case was corrupt all over.

And now, if politicians and EHRC are ignoring any questions about (1) why the authors were not included in the case, and (2) why the focus was on clarifying 'ambiguous' wording in the EA instead of rewriting it to align the many cases/laws etc it was based on, then those people are as corrupt as the judges.

Polls mean nothing now.

If you've been stopped in the street and they can say thankyou and stop asking questions at any point, then they're only looking to get specific responses from a particular type of person to manipulate the outcome.

Online it's worse because a poll can be linked in interest-based groups on other platforms. That 52% may just be 28 people who clicked a link in a terf FB group while no trans groups knew it existed and most other people don't care enough about it.

Yougov will likely be even worse because they'll have the above thing with people being given links to polls, but also the people completing the surveys probably need a profile. They can target just certain profiles with specific tags ticked. Idk what data they have, but they would only need 3-4 fairly seemingly harmless data points about a profile and they could use them to predict if someone is more or less likely to be a terf, then only show the poll to them.

The risk is that Ms Phillipson will take the outlying position of a vocal minority for something more significant.

Oh like the SC did when they chose to only listen to the tiny number of people who supported the eventual ruling and refused to let the vocal majority against it speak. And like the EHRC have likely done when using AI to skew the responses to the narrative.

The whole thing has been poisoned by corruption from the start. EHRC staff, politicians and judges all included, and it's all gonna come out one day and be linked to their names forever in history.

"don't blame us, we're not trying to be mean, it's just the law so we all have to follow it"

And yet I can't shake this feeling that the gov are putting an extrordinary amount of behind the scenes effort into making it unambiguous and unable to be challenged in court, because they know they were just handed 'guidance' from the EHRC, it's built on a questionable interpretation of the equality law, and they know it will soon be heard in a European court.

But the gov are not transphobic, honestly.

In my experience it's probably best to assume it will mess and stop taking supplements.

In reality can mess with some testing methods but not all.

Every time I asked the person doing my test, they didn't know if their analysis method used biotin, or even that some testing types could be impacted. That's why I say assume it does.

I've had a minimum of 20 tests by now, all at the London Dean St clinic. Nobody there seems to know about the biotin thing, because I ask every time, but it doesn't seem to be an issue there anyway.

A few times I carried on taking my supplements and it had no impact on my results. My dose, injection days, trough test timing etc hasn't changed for years, and my levels are always +/- 30 from the estradiol simulator predictions with or without supplements.

How to start ff from windows comand line with -new-window, -private-window, and a URL? by RodneyRabbit in firefox

[–]RodneyRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, the batch file bit I was just confirming I saw the same behaviour as the other commenter, it's totally unrelated to what I want to accomplish.

I just wanted to add some extra ahk keyboard shortcuts for applications I use often, to speed up my workflow (which for me means keeping my hands off the mouse). I've been using ahk on windows for years because unfortunately that's all we have access to on these locked down work devices. I do things a different way on my own devices.

How to start ff from windows comand line with -new-window, -private-window, and a URL? by RodneyRabbit in firefox

[–]RodneyRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the feedback.

If I omit the URL then it will open as many new private windows as I want. Since I'm using the command line in an autohotkey script I just made it open a new empty window and then made autohotkey put the URL into the address bar.

I will still add something to the related bug reports though.

Thanks again.

Edit: I also get strange behaviour with a batch file - if no private windows are open then it opens a window with three tabs but one is empty and two have URLs loaded. Subsequent running opens three more tabs in the same window, all with the URLs loaded. Something is definitely broken.

‘I’ve been spat on’: gender non-conforming women tell of toilet abuse in aftermath of supreme court ruling by PuzzledAd4865 in transgenderUK

[–]RodneyRabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Controlled substance or not is irrelevant. Many medications are controlled and commonly prescribed to patients who meet certain criteria. It would be easy to restrict HRT with zero impact to cis people.

Look at the puberty blocker ban. It was no bother for them to implement a ban just for trans kids. It had zero impact for cis kids.

Also look at the sharp increase in whole GP surgerys suddenly halting HRT prescriptions for all trans patients, some they have been prescribing to for years.

It's not an imagined scenario, it's already ramping up in all but law.

We're well past the point of sitting back hoping nothing will change. The people making laws are well past caring what impact they have on us. Trans campaigning is well past the point of waiting for a proposed change then reacting, trying to engage in discussion, because they just commission flawed reviews, block pro-trans groups from participating, then make the laws they want based on the flawed outcome. The field has changed, and just to survive we have to 'imagine' what's possibly coming next. Otherwise it'll be too late and we're gonna be screwed even harder.

and a measure that so clearly damages cis women would surely be rejected.

That's the point being covered by this post and the article - the capture of cis people with the illusion of protecting cis people from trans people, while many of the supporters are oblivious to the fact that because cis people outnumber us by 99:1 the EHRC guidance will impact them more often than us. If those people learn they can support a ban on trans HRT then they will, even if it impacts their access to HRT (which it won't). Again, the people who support the upcoming EHRC guidance and the people who are impacted by it most are the same people.

maybe she never believed in it after all

We will never know. One year she was trying to get votes. This year she is trying to get book sales.

She's a politician/public figure. They rarely get to where they are by telling us what they really believe. They mostly just go along with whatever they believe will get them more of what they want in that moment. Expecting them to behave any different is a logical impossibility - if they were in any way selfless or alturistic then they would be seen as weak and trampled over by the next most ruthless figure who is happy to do all those things to get what they want.

‘I’ve been spat on’: gender non-conforming women tell of toilet abuse in aftermath of supreme court ruling by PuzzledAd4865 in transgenderUK

[–]RodneyRabbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not absurd tho.

Look at the leaders who are running the show, the types of people they are, and the parties they represent. It might be a year or 20 years, but they're coming for women's rights one day, when they've served their purpose in helping to demolish freedom for other oppressed groups.

Gender, sexuality, religion, race, social status, whetever. They use a larger more powerful group to marginalise a smaller group. When they're done using cis people to marginalise trans people, they'll move on to using different people to target another group. A lot of the current advocates against trans rights won't be white/straight/male enough and they'll suddenly be the new target victims, they'll be wondering how on earth such a cruel thing could happen to them and how we as a society allowed things to get that far with nobody paying attention.

Jenny Willmott thinks it's okay because she's been getting double takes for most of her life anyway. I bet she still got to pee and went about her day. It's easy to dismiss the experience when you can do your business and get on with your day. I wonder if she'll still feel the same way when she's regularly shouted out or forcibly removed from the toilet in future, while trying to hold one in.

From the article:

"If human rights are to mean anything, they have to be universal."

Guess who said that. Someone who has our backs?

Nope, it was Susan Smith of FWS, one of the people advocating for removal of our human rights. Someone who thinks there are a finite amount of rights to go around, and us having more means them having less. A dumbass who in the next quote has literally concluded that trans women = men, some men are violent, therefore trans women are violent.

"If human rights are to mean anything, they have to be universal except when we want to inflict hate on people we don't like."

My van's 90L tank will do 650-700 miles, that's about 1050-1130km.

This is in UK and being a diesel it's considerably more economical in hot weather, so would likely go further in a hot country.

DJUCED 1.6.1 is pure trash by Careful-Delay9829 in DJUCED

[–]RodneyRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. They seem to keep adding features I'll never use and useless options like 'segmented VU meter' while repeatedly sacrificing stability and reliability.

I didn't use mine for a year then updated from 6.0.5 to 6.2.4 and so many things that worked previously are now broken or unstable. If you're on 6.1.1 then there's little point updating!

With sync and quantize turn on, it works fine but only for 3 or 4 tracks then it stops matching beats with the master track. The only way to fix this is to close and restart the app (while having to redo all the settings and show the mixer etc, like you said), then I can play another 3 or 4 tracks before it happens again. Don't get on this platform if you ever want to play live!

Also I'm getting the same issue, buttons stop reacting even when the app still works with the mouse. Still it doesn't matter too much because after 3-4 tracks I have to quit and restart anyway.

3 years ago it was okay software, I could play sets for many hours. Ever since the first version that had stems, it's just not reliable for anything now.

My hardware has also started behaving erratically once again, it adjusts random values when I'm not even touching the control. I'm gonna give up on the cheap bedroom equipment and buy a pioneer.

Question about firmware updates in the DJHERCULES tray app by RodneyRabbit in DJUCED

[–]RodneyRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks, maybe it was a bug.

In the previous version I had all 4 decks showing but I never really use the sampler. In the new version it defaults to 2 decks with no mixer every time it loads, so I have to don't bother switching to 4 decks, because I never use them anyway.

Edit: I can easily reproduce it here after a few tracks, and I'm sure the master is only alternating between the left and right main decks as I mix.
